Black color; creamy head. Nice chocolate aroma, milky, with some cocoa powder. Good body, chocolate and caramel flavor, the milk and creamy presence is even clearer. Balanced, peculiar. Pleasant.
Bottle at "Darkness comes to town", 131116. Black beer with almost no head. Malty roasted aroma, milky, caramel, cocoa powder, creamy, some cocoa. Roasted tar and ash flavor, caramel, hay, licorice, toffee, ash, some cocoa powder. Nice beer but not a lot of attitude. saxo (18459) - Højbjerg, Aarhus, DENMARK - JUN 11, 2014

Bottle from an awesome trader! Pours black with tan head. Nose/taste of lactose, black licorice, roast chocolate malt and vanilla. Well balanced. Medium body. Great movie reference! (obviously) brokensail (16449) - Dublin, California, USA - FEB 28, 2010
A: The pour is a deep, dark brown color (almost black) with a modest tan head.
S: This is a fairly roast and coffee forward beer with some background notes of chocolate, cream, and a slight sweetness.
T: The sweetness was nowhere near as pronounced in the flavor as I’m accustomed to with milk stouts. That said, there were still some nice coffee, roasted malt, and mild cream flavors.
M: The body is medium with a a fairly conservative level of carbonation.
D: While not as sweet as many other examples of the style, I enjoyed the roasted and coffee notes this beer provided. The more milk stouts I drink, the more I enjoy them. Dedollewaitor (16171) - Odense, DENMARK - NOV 15, 2014
Bottle via trade with Hannont. Thanks Todd. 2012. Shared with Hallinghansen. Pours black with a creamy head. Mocha, roast, fruit and chocolate. Medium bodied. Soft. Tasty! bhensonb (15235) - Woodland, California, USA - AUG 25, 2009
Bomber from Archer Liquors. Pours quite black with a 2-finger tan head. It has a sweetish aroma of darkly toasted malt. Medum body with creamy carbonation that bites just a bit. Flavor is toasted malt with dark fruits and some chocolate. Dark fruit aspect matches the "Baltic" descriptor. Finishes a bit burnt, slightly bitter and rather balanced by the dark fruit. It’s a really flavorful stout, and not excessively sweet. Really a lot going on in this one. Highly recommended.
