Bottle @ Paps. Bottle 377/484. Pours a black color with a small fast disappearing tan head. has a roasted malty bourbon and chocolate aroma. Roasted malty bourbon vanilla and chocolate flavor. Has a roasted malty chocolate finish with bourbon and vanilla in the aftertaste.

22-MAR-2012, bottle @Paps. Almost black, no head. Bourbon nose - mostly. Taste is roast, dried fruit - prunes, alcohol, bourbon. Some carbonation, very smooth. Long bourbon finish. Really amazing brew. Glad to have tried it.

clearer sepia, dark cream colored, large bubbled white head. Considerable bourbon heat, a bit brash in nose from pappy, considerable cardboard. Medicinal bourbon at front of tongue, also shows chocolate at front, lightly bitter hop balanced, brash bourbon in finish, but milk chocolate, less dry cake, coating soft body.

[ Bottle # 377/484 ]. Clear dark black brown colour with a small, fizzy, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is heavy malty, roasted, burnt, chccolate, alcohol, bourbon, moderate wood, vanilla, dried fruit. Flavour is heavy sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a long duration, dark fruit, dark dark malt, chocolate. bourbon, vanilla. Body is medium to full, texture is oily - creamy, carbonation is soft to flat, finish feel is moderate alcoholic. [20120322]

Big massive sticky sweet impy, with some nice coconut and rye. Lots ofof milk chocolate and molasses. Palate is slick and oily, but the amount of unfermented sugar is borderline crunchy. Roasted/burnt coffee acidity on the finish.

2011 bottle (482/484). Pours opaque black with thin, fizzy tan head; short retention and minimal lacing. Aroma is roasted malt, vanilla, bourbon, coffee, earthy notes, dark fruit, and light oak. Flavor is heavy malt with medium dark fruit esters and faint earthy hops; light bourbon undertones with a dry chocolate finish. Full body, low carbonation, and high warmth.

Aroma is bourbon, vanilla, chocolate and roast, coffee, earthy hops and dark fruity esters. Flavor is malt dominant, vanilla, oak and dark fruity esters, bourbon with a light sweet finish. Full body, high warmth and medium carbonation.

Bottle 482/484 courtesy of ygtbsm94, thank you sir! Dark maroon color, brown head that settles to an edge. Aroma of a sunny day in Madagascar, with an edge of espresso and dark cacao liqueur. Taste is creamy and syrupy dark milk chocolate, raisins. Nice.
