Copper color pour from draft at Burger Bar. Tons of off white head. Has a soapy, vanilla and dank fruit kick to it. Grows on ya but first sip is a mouthful. Good for the most part

Draft on tap at the brewpub (Munster, IN). Pours a hazy deeper Carmel iced copper hue with subtle orange and penny glow at times, cake tannissh head atop stays as a frothy firmer film. Solid lacing, a thicker ringer as it dies. Aromas show potent citric appeal, juicy grapefruit, pithy rind and oils bitter and spritzy. A bit of rye, lemon, faint lime with some citric firm life. Gentle bread, subtle gumball and tropical appeal. Malt never gets in the way as this bursts with hippy goodness, potent fruit and citric bitterness. Initial is citric and a bit punchy, a more mellow body shows a bit of girth, subtle biscuit and spice have a touch of body meeting some spritzy bitter grapefruit, touches of gumball and tropical appeal. Backend is a bit more dry, bitter. That Amarillo appeal plays nicely in the middle with some subtle melon, kiwi, gumball and grapefruit appeal. The malt bill never interferes here but the hop presence isn’t abrasive, that Amarillo and citric appeal sustains with subtle tropical wafts. I dig this. A juicy fruit nose with firm florals to temper, this one offers a lot of flavor, a malt bill that keeps out of the way, and sufficient bitterness to drive us home. Nice stuff again for a Red/Amber IPA from FFF

Draft. Cloudy amber body with a frothy, off-white head. Hop-forward aroma of grapefruitm citrus, orange, green hops. Also caramel and toasted grain. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, velvety texture, lively carbonation. Taste of a combination of resin, orange juice, citrus and grapefruit. Nice balance, ending with resin and orange. Classic 3F.

Draft at brewpub. A super chewy IPA with a seemingly-exacting amount of ripe citrus and uplifting floral hops to marry with the creamy, caramel malt. I didn’t get the chance to review at the brewpub, but this IPA humbly, yet powerfully, reminded me of why FFF are one of the tops in the game. Impeccable balance of everything you could love. If only they’d bottle this one.

Draft to taster. Looks good; a transparent golden orange with foamy off-white head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells solid; bitter, fruity, and piney hops alongside an amber malt profile with a bit of toast. Tastes like it smells with a medium-bodied mouthfeel that’s on the stickier side. Malty, but enjoyable.

From keg at Whole Foods in Munster from a sampler glass on September 25, 2015. Look - Dark orange. Good lacing. White head. See through. Smell - Malt over hop. Grass. Wheat. Taste - Good balance of malt and hop. Feel - Bitter bite. Carbonation not favorable. Overall - Name is fitting. Not pixie dust and fairy tales. Bitter bite and carbonated.

On tap at the brewpub last night. Appropriate that this is a tribute for some wrestlers because the hops hit you like an opening haymaker. Huge bitter tropical hops. Apricot and grapefruit. Everything is big and tasty about this one. Bitter, hoppy, fruity. This is a damn good IPA, drinks like it’s a much bigger beer than than the advertised 7.7%.

Apricot aroma. Taste is crisp apricot and wheat. Some rye spice and pepper too.

UPDATED: NOV 9, 2015 On tap at 3 Floyds. Solid American IPA. Amber profile shows up-front and in the middle but transitions into a hoppy/somewhat bitter finish. I’m a big IPA fan and this was a nice take on a slightly different style than I’m use to. Had on tap again and really enjoyable. Similar notes as before but really nice flavor profile of citrus and apricot.
