bottleshare thanks to DexterCat. Super sweet and no funkiness at all. Kind just a honey sweetness that lingers until it becomes intolerable. Just not good. patrick767 (4474) - fort wayne, Indiana, USA - MAY 26, 2014
bottle, 500th Indiana beer, hurray! - Pours very hazy orange with a big, dense, off white head. The aroma is of resinous hops, caramel, and alcohol. It tastes of big hops bitterness, resinous hops, caramel malt, and yeast. Bitterness lingers on the palate of this... saison? hah! Honestly I’m not sure why 3 Floyd’s calls it one. I like the beer, it’s not great but it’s very good, but I’d put it in the more catch-all category American Strong Ale. Singularity (6373) - Blattniksele, SWEDEN - MAY 17, 2014
Bottle at mikkeller stefans, thanks for sharing, norwegian buddies! Murky amber with off white head. Aroma sweet and malty; of smoke, caramel, marmalade, yeast and dry dust notes. Taste is more american barley wine than saison, sweet, caramel, alcohol, marmalade, yeast, plus some spicy dry saison notes. finol (3541) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - MAY 5, 2014
Bottle at Mikkeller & Friends.
Orderd it since I was in the mood for a hoppy Saison. This was not at all what I expected. Tasted more like an old US Barley wine. Taste of red berries, old hops and some butter. Still a stable brew though. hirigalzkar (3304) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - MAY 5, 2014
Bottle. Is this really a saison? It actually tastes somewhat like a barley wine with its buttery notes and strong alcohol. Also notes of cookies, rye, orange and roses. Kind of growed on me after the shock from the first sip.

UPDATED: MAY 5, 2014 Blt(cellared over 6 months) pours cystal clear, golden bronze, big thick creamy off white head that lingers forever leaving wicked lace on glass. Smells of brown sugar, biscuit, dried prunes, raisin brand cereal, earth, booze, faint orange and a hint of pepper. Tastes of sweet caramel malts, dates, raisins, graham crackers, torbinado sugar, earthy hops and pepper.Medium body, thick texture, creamy mouthfeel, lively carbonation, and a tingly, spicy, lightly bitter finish. Wow! I have not had alot of saisons, but this does not taste like any I have ever had. I taste no barnyard or funk. I aged this hoping it would get funkier, unfortunately no luck and I killed the dry hop flavor. This ale is good but it is not a saison. Reminds me of a winter warmer???? Idk. Anyway its tasty and alot of different flavors going on here but not spectacular. blklab2007 (2120) - Connecticut, USA - MAY 4, 2014
Bottle poured a copper amber color with a coating of white head. Aroma has grains, resinous hops, yeast, and fruit. Mouth feel is medium light and the carbonation on the lower side. Flavor brings in some odd malt, bitter resinous hops, rye, yeast, and some fruit. Such an odd combination of things and certainly not like any Saison I have ever tried. charlotte (5499) - rødovre, DENMARK - APR 30, 2014
