3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Dark brown color with a thin off white head. Hops and chocolate malt dominate the nose. Tons of flavors in here...smokey, chocolate, roasted malt with a strong hop presence.
UPDATED: FEB 11, 2018 I was a little disappointed with this beer. I was expecting bigger and bolder flavors out of it, and it was almost too drinkable. There wasn’t anything that made me think about the beer or really notice it. It was a pretty bland scotch ale. obguthr (7010) - Staunton, Virginia, USA - DEC 24, 2017
Slightly smoky pecan nose. Clear brown, thick yellow head. Cocoa, date, smoke, bread crust. Medium body, easy carbonation. Wonderful layers of complexity. Niko100 (3014) - Chicago, New York, USA - DEC 17, 2017
Dark brown/ruby color; Medium slightly creamy body; Aroma of toasted sweet malt, peat/wood, caramel, & some fruit; Flavor of slight roasted malt, caramel/syrup, dark fruit, some chocolate, and spice; Pretty decent. jrodooo5 (1775) - DOVER, Delaware, USA - DEC 16, 2017
Solid scotch that may be a tad overrated? Pours brown w/ a razor thin head & good lacing. The aroma is primarily caramel. The flavor is a crisp caramel that is slightly dry. It's very well balanced & quite smooth. Really nice overall! gregwilsonstl (2744) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - NOV 23, 2017
Dark amber brown. Smells and tastes malty. Sweet maltiness. Underfermented Malt bomb that actually works well.
Dry. Thanks Seymour for this treat!

Aroma is toasted moat, with sweet notes of caramel. Pours clear and dark copper red with minimal head. Sweet taste with toffee, and caramel before the malts take over. Medium-bodied with soft carbonation. Slick texture with a dry, boozy finish seymour (2127) - Maplewood, Missouri, USA - OCT 10, 2017
Shared from 12oz brown bottle into nonic half-pint glasses, thanks Jake! It poured a near-opaque deep reddish brown colour with sudsy beige foam, lasting with lace. Rich malty sweet, caramel, toffee, root beer. Full body, big chewy mouthfeel, moderate carbonation. Nice alcoholic strength, warming, but no hot fusel alcohols. A very tasty Americanized Scottish ale. Good stuff. Itzjerm (3263) - Taft, Tennessee, USA - AUG 13, 2017
Nose is light scotch style grain. Flavor is the same. This isn't over hopped but hopped enough to enjoy. Hop profile adds to sweetness. Very balanced Scottish ale.

Pint glass from the source. Deeper amber/mahogany color with light tan head. Aroma is malty and has some mild dark fruit qualities. Taste is malt forward with caramel and toffee notes. Mild dark fruit characteristic coming through. Very low bitterness. Strong example of the style. You may take our lives but you will never take our...opportunity to have this again. lbianchi66 (469) - FRANCE - APR 8, 2017
Robe brune avec une jolie mousse beige malheureusement peu persistante. Arômes malté, fumé, tourbé. Goût caramel et malté.
Carbonatation fine et abondante. Texture légèrement sirupeuse.
