UPDATED: FEB 16, 2015 This was really quite good. Big hops, piney and citrus, enough malty to back it up. Dry finish and spicy taste and finish from the rye. Serving: Bottle AWISLguy (3170) - Wisconsin, USA - JAN 12, 2013
Bomber from Sendiks in Brookfield. Pours an unclear orangey-copper with a bit of a foamy white head. Terrific lacing. Aroma is citrus, citrus and more citrus. Some grain and some spiciness as well. Taste is of sweet caramel, cereal, fresh sweet fruits and grapefruit. Somewhat resinous. Much more balanced than the nose. A bit rough with some alcohol presence. A definitive hop bomb and very tasty! Finishes bitter and quite dry with, what I would say is "the rye", kicking in. Three Floyds comes through again! b3shine (8928) - Indiana, USA - JAN 11, 2013
Bomber to snifter (thanks jmborggren). Looks good; a hazy orange with white lacing. Smells GOOD; HOPPY!!! Tastes like it smells with that nice rye tingle on the back end of the finish. A first-class DIPA! ccex (1326) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 11, 2013
Bomber pours a clear orange color with big eggshell head and good lacing. Smells like a FF beer with lots of grapefruit. Aroma also has mango, pineapple, caramel, and of course rye. Body is medium without much carbonation. Mouthfeel is slightly sticky. Tastes sweet at first with the signature FFF bitter and clean finish. Alcohol is quite well hidden, so this was dangerously easy to drink. I’ll gladly try this one again! tmongoose (2504) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - JAN 9, 2013
Bomber shared. Pours an orange color with off soft white head with nice lacing. The aroma is like sticking your face in a pine tree and inhaling very slowly. But that’s not the only aroma. You get some grapefruit mix with other tropical fruits. The first taste was a subtle ness of bold hops and rye. Funny the aroma and flavor come across in two different ways. Both very good. The rye comes across the middle of the tongue. ThEn i spilled my glass. DAMN.

Deep golden color. Great hop presence in the nose with light tropical fruit, pungent grapefruit, and soft pine. Malt not to be outdone with a pronounced rye spice, caramel malt, and sweet honey biscuits. Flavor is solid grapefruit, citrus, mango with matching rye malt spice and caramel malt. Great palate that is sticky and thick, but yet, easy to drink. I like that the rye characteristics are fairly pronounced and not just an afterthought. A very solid brew. Nomber. Poured medium golden with a creamy, well-retained eggshell head.. nice lacing. The aroma picked up a whole helluva lot of mango, with pineapple and peppery rye also showing.. loved it! The flavor found sweet tropical fruit and biscuity malts at the core.. juicy mango, pineapple, black pepper, and rye around.. lots of tropical fruit bitterness and rye on the long, belly-warming finish. Medium-bodied, juicy, and engaging on the palate.. great stuff! madmitch76 (24980) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JAN 5, 2013

THE Fruit Sour tasting. Thanks to Paul for sharing this treat. Hazy amber beer, good cream coloured head. Palate is light and dry. Semi soft with fine carbonation. Creamy malt and a touch of seltzer minerals. Lovely tropical fruits and a little orange marmalade. Finishes soft. Very nice indeed. A fine beer from the ever great Three Floyds and a fine tribute to one of the creme de la creme of rocks singers. Cheers Ronnie!
On tap at FFF: pour is murky light.golden with a modest fine bubbled.white head in this glass. Sticky lacing, and average retention is present here. The nose is biscuit, pine, grapefruit, and there are elements of the rye here. It seems like an off shoot of dreadnaught to me, with less of the florals and.more.of the rye. The flavor profile is more grapefruit, pine, caramel, juicy fruit, sticky mouthfeel, caramel, and the rye provides a certain spiciness. Anyway, this is another nice one obviously. It’s no Nelson but its damn tasty thedm (6216) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - DEC 25, 2012
This draft brew from a restaurant poured a large sized head of foamy finely sized off-white colored bubbles that were and left behind a softly carbonated hazy orange colored body. The strong aroma was rye and malty. The mouth feel was very tingly at the start and at the finish with a biting aftertaste. The strong flavor contained notes of rye. Delicious and one I would certainly buy again.
