Bottle thnx to budznudz! Cheers Chris! Pours a beautiful darker orange pour with a beautiful small white head. Nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is of pineapple, peach and mango. Very floral hoppy influences. Flavour is mildly bitter with a typical grainy sweet backbone. I think the rye is present in the flavour, but not sure if that’s it. Drinks very easy, nice in balanced and an overall great beer! JCB (3999) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - MAR 27, 2013
Bomber from akurzynski - thanks, Adam! And of course, thanks to Ronnie James-ah! Gorgeous pour, lustrous deep orange with tons of soapy bubbles and complex lacing. Nose is buoyantly fruity and hoppy to start, with not much rye detectable. But that element comes across very prominently in the taste, complementing the fruitiness quite well and substituting for the pine you get in other variants. Tons of orange, rye malt, bitter rind, and other tropical fruits going on, all of it coming together in a nicely spicy and quite lengthy finish. Race for the morning! brian60625 (746) - Illinois, USA - MAR 24, 2013
Bomber bottle shared, 5 ounce portions. I had high hopes for hops glory here and they were met, surprisingly, given the beer’s probable 3-month shelf time. If you like the big, juicy, grapefruit hop flavor, this is a safe bet. Rye Da Tiger sits somewhere between Zombie Dust and Dreadnaught in my personalized puckering index. Pale orange appearance, bubbly. Grapefruit and sour flavor. I didn’t pick up on a rye element. The big abv is concealed nicely. Aroma of grapefruit and abundant citrus. Palate is medium bodied, smooth. Overall, it’s a nice’n juicy hop showcase. LtDan (1806) - Los Angeles County, California, USA - MAR 22, 2013
Appearance: Pours a clear amber gold with a beige ring and micro film.Theis (15152) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAR 20, 2013
Aroma: Grapefruit, dank tangerine. Brown sugar.
Taste: Grapefruit citrus like hop. Dry spicy malt. Hop biterness that lingers.
Mouthfeel: Juicy medium bodied modest carbonation.
Overall: Tasty, hoppy, super drinkable, especially for something nearing 9%. My evolving palate likes this way better than Dreadnaught.
