22 oz bottle. Foggy orange brown with a whitish head. Nose is orange peel, musk, caramel and rye. Medium to full body with a creamy mouthfeel and a crisp tingle. Taste is somewhere between orange and grapefruit, nectarine sweetness, toffee and rye finishing a bit spicy. Vodka creeps in as it warms. Huhzubendah (3705) - Washington DC, USA - NOV 24, 2012

The beer is straw yellow and mildly hazy with a thick white cap. The aroma offers a bouquet of tropical fruits atop a sturdy malt bill. Tangerines, pineapple, grapefruit blend beautifully with bread and biscuit flavors. Robust and full bodied with ample carbonation. Alcohol content is hidden well. Another very tasty offering from FFF. queenholly (3623) - South Whitley, Indiana, USA - APR 21, 2013
Bottle. Orange/tropical fruit, bready rye malt, and caramel aroma. Cloudy orange amber with a small off-white head. Orange peel, bready and spicy rye malt, and sweet mango flavor. Full sticky body, moderate carbonation. Not a bad choice for my 50th DIPA. kryon (3552) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - MAY 30, 2013

Pours a decent yellow si, oh yes, with a nose of banana-thin body odor hops. Flavor is a full-on assault of grapefruit rind, orange rind, and grapefruit pulp. Nice but light mouthfeel. I see his stripes andI know he’s clean; oh, can’t you see what I mean?
Bomber at Sergio’s World beers. This is not as hoppy as I would expect from FFF, but not to say it’s not hoppy. There is hugely assertive rye in the aroma with accents of citrusy hops. Palate is fairly sticky with spicy rye and an even wash of hops. I can’t believe the restraint of bitterness, relatively speaking. Ed5388 (3480) - Forked River, New Jersey, USA - MAR 13, 2013
22 oz bomber. Poured hazy golden color. Aroma is sweet biscuit and citrus. Taste of sweet malts, citrus/orange. Way too sweet for my liking. Had trouble getting through the whole 22 oz. Reynolds314 (3450) - Connecticut, USA - FEB 17, 2013
Really loved this beer. Tons of great citrus hops and a spicy rye element are balanced with a solid malt backbone and a great bitter finish that doesnt linger too long. Love it. NobleSquirrel (3438) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - OCT 30, 2012
Draft at FFF. Pours a glowing gold, hazed with a sticky whitish head. Nose is big hops. Fresh and floral with big citrus. Juicy and fresh. Minimal grain in the nose. On tasting, big bitterness that is balanced with more of the juicy hop character. Big enough malt backbone to support it. Super fresh and hop dominant. Fantastic stuff. pantanap (3366) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 16, 2013
22oz bottle although had previous times before at the brewpub from prior visits... Pour from the bottle yields a mostly solid non-transparent orangey brown consistency and topped with a fluffy lingering barely off-white head... Aroma of juicy semi-bitter tropical fruit and pithy citrus components. A hint of metallic surfaces before fading out completely which was reassuring - that an an intermixing of fruit cocktail comes to mind. A blast of pine and general dank undertones evolve late and lingers on for a bit. That note of metallic eventually comes back into the equation which was for the most part a letdown... Flavors follow suit mostly with semi-sweet juicy tropical fruit hops front and center quickly turning assertively bitter mid-palate and extending on through the finish. Just above medium bodied, somewhat full, with the right dash of carbonation. Some hints of aspirin through the middle. Malt seem to fall to the wayside but there is a spicy quality to it from the rye persuasion most likely...all in all, prob prefer the lightning more so than the tiger. A little too much firepower for me while the lightning had more of a drinkability aspect to it with a the hop assertiveness that I really enjoy.
