Pours hazy golden-yellow with a short white head.
Aroma of rye, grapefruit peel.
Taste is a rye malt, citrus hops.
Deep, rich rye flavour over a well balanced hoppiness.
Very enjoyable. Beerman6686 (6611) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 19, 2012
This poured a darker orange to red color with a beige head. Aroma was fruity tropical hops, and rye, booze and caramel. Flavor was much the same, good balance of fruity hops and malt, not over the top bitter, booze is a little hotter than I would have liked but still a pretty solid beer. zvikar (6575) - Ramat Gan, ISRAEL - JUN 15, 2013
Bottle sample at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks DSG. Pours yellow to brown with a nice head, aroma of lemon, honey, flowers, flavor of rye, pineapple, malt sweet and dry, medium to full bodied dmac (6574) - Toms River, New Jersey, USA - MAY 8, 2013
22oz bomber via trade. Poured a solid looking orange body with an average sized full foamy off white head. Aroma of rye spiciness, citrus fruit, bread crusts. Medium to fuller bodied with average carbonation and a long lingering bitter hop finish. Flavor of mango, light rye seeds, pineapple, tropical fruits and dry medium toast. Good stuff. Bottle and served in tulip: Pours a deep golden hue but with a ton of floaties which was not expected, lasting frothy head and spotty lace. The aroma and lots of rye notes along with resiny, piney, and lightly citric hop esters. Pepper and clove with a touch of caramel and Melanoidin malts. Great nose on this beer. The taste is spruce, pepper, grapefruit, clove and rye bread over a layer of biscuit and aspirin... not sure what to make of it but strangely I like it. The mouth feel is more medicinal and chalky note and a tad boozy. The least favorite part of this brew. I like many things brought to the table but still feel something does not quite mesh together. Muddled and astringent as hell.

22oz bottle. Lived up to the hype and then some. Brighter in color than I would’ve thought. Sweet great merge between an IIPA and a Rye. Really clean golden malt actually, not so thick on the caramel and chocolate which usually accompany the style. Big citrus balance. Awesome, a true Rye IIPA, not a hoppy Rye. kaser (6430) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - OCT 20, 2012
Draft at three Floyd's brewpub. Crazy good. Floral fruity smell. Clear orange pour. Sticky white head. Amazing rye and hops combo, one of my favorites here so far

Bottle @ZZT7 thx to Kermis. Orange colour with some particles, small white head. Smells lovely hoppy, fruity, very fresh, amazing, pine. Tastes hoppy, pine, fresh, fruity, amazing. Lovely beer. Medium body, soft carbo. thedm (6320) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - DEC 25, 2012
This draft brew from a restaurant poured a large sized head of foamy finely sized off-white colored bubbles that were and left behind a softly carbonated hazy orange colored body. The strong aroma was rye and malty. The mouth feel was very tingly at the start and at the finish with a biting aftertaste. The strong flavor contained notes of rye. Delicious and one I would certainly buy again. superspak (6211) - Waterford, Michigan, USA - NOV 29, 2012
22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating but was purchased recently. Pours extremely hazy orange amber color with a very nice 2-3 finger dense off white head with awesome retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty foamy lacing clings to the glass. Aromas of huge mango, pineapple, grapefruit, orange zest, caramel, rye spiciness, pine, floral, herbal, and citrus rind. Fantastic aromas with great balance of hop complexity and rye malts. Taste of pineapple, mango, grapefruit, orange zest, caramel, spicy rye, light pine, bread, floral, citrus rind, earthiness, and herbal spiciness. Good amount of earthy citrus rind bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of pineapple, mango, grapefruit, orange zest, caramel, bread, pine, floral, rye spiciness, citrus rind, and herbal earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Fantastic balance and complexity of hop flavors; with a very nice balance with the rye spiciness; zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a creamy, sticky, and slightly crisp mouthfeel that is very nice. Alcohol is extremely well hidden with hardly any warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a fantastic imperial Rye IPA! Great hop flavor complexity and malt balance with the rye; very smooth and easy to sip on. A highly enjoyable offering as expected.
