Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a huge white head that last all the way through. I got a strong scent of citrus, but got a little bit of caramel and bread. Heavy bitterness, as expected, but there is this big sweetness on the front that came as a surprise, as I didn’t get on the nose. A full bodied beer, but smooth enough to drink at a reasonable pase. I enjoy the use of rye in an IPA, and have had many a beer with rye, and this is my favorite one of those beers. PhillyCraft (7228) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 31, 2013
Bottle. Hazy orange pour with medium off white head accompanied by nice lacing patterns. Aromas and flavor are super juiced out yo. Notes of dank pine, grapefruit, tropical citrus, orange juice, rye, and caramel. Perfect amount of malt in this beast....the hops were able to be showcased but still had a balanced, creamy finish. Booze is barely present. Medium body. Favorite of the night. Dio has rocked for a long, long, time. DocLock (10689) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 25, 2013
Thanks to an anonymous PUB"R member at Craft Ale House Tuesday Titan Tasting Temptation for this. Pours turbid dark straw/orange with off-white had. Nose was very Zombie Dusty; a medley of Belgian yeasty floral malt, spicy hops, Tasted rich, complex, with upfront floral and peppery hops, and a great mid-palate yeasty fruity malt bill. Complex and delicious, this one makes me wish I could intern for Nick Floyd. 77ships (9827) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - JUN 21, 2013
Thx to kermis @ Rampkrot Whale tasting – 65 cl. Bottle sampled. Bright amber orange, big fluffy white head. Wonderful full pine nose, light caramel and spices, great hops, nicely sticky resin,… Taste is very juice grapefruit, some pine, almost soap, great hop profile, very light caramel, touch citrus, rye, bitter spices in the back, bitter zesty soapy pine,… Oily body, very easy to drink, nice. ryecatcher (1445) - Bridgeport, Chicago, Illinois, USA - SEP 22, 2012
Bomber. Pours a semi-hazy orange with minimal head (although it could be the glass seeing as I just washed it). Nose is ripe with tropical fruit (passion fruit stands out) and piney hops. Mouth is nice, medium bodied starts off bitter sweet and follow through to a lengthy bitter finish. More fruit, hops and some hints of malt and booze. Excellent.

Pours cloudy orange amber with a 3 finger, chunky off white head and high effervescence. Aroma is huge on citrus, tropical fruit and floral hops, some pine, biscuit, a little caramel and spiciness that could be hops, rye, or a combination of the two. Big tropical fruit, citrus, pine and spicy hops, biscuit, toast, cereal and twiggy pine. medium to heavy body, light carbonation, and a creamy to chewy feel. Fantastic stuff. joshmcg000 (388) - Iowa, USA - NOV 2, 2012
Pours really hazy orange with lots of floaty’s and a pillowy white head. Aroma is Rye, Citrus & tropical fruit. One of the best smelling beers ever. Taste is almost exactly like Dreadnaught but with added rye. Tons of tropical fruit flavor immediately followed by piney bitterness, caramel malt. This stuff is pretty amazing. Dark gold pour, small white head. Aroma of tropical fruit (pineapple, mango, peach) and a little sweet malt. Huge sweet, fruity tropical flavor. Pineapple upside down cake, brown sugar, peach, mango brought back into balance with good hop bitterness and a touch of rye. Medium body, light carbonation. Finishes dry with a nice rye snap and moderate bitterness. Tropical fruit lingers on the palate. This reminds me of a smaller version of behemoth. Fantastic stuff! dalepryor (305) - Paducah, Kentucky, USA - JAN 31, 2013
pours a beautiful orange, the aroma is all tropical fruits; oranges, pineapples, mango. the rye is very much present as well. The taste is just as intriguing as the smell, all of those tropical flavors are present all throughout and the rye is noticeable right away and is also in the finish.
Overall this is well worth trying and getting all the time if possible in my opinion, definitely on the top of the rye ale charts. adrian910ss (2575) - Doylestown, PA, USA - MAR 8, 2013
22 oz bomber courtesy of Todd. Pours a cloudy orange vistilite with a medium sized off white head. Aroma of fresh orange citrus, rye, bitter hops and bread malts. Taste of fresh orange citrus, grapefruit, bitter hops and rye bread. Another gem from 3 FFFs.
