Bottle. Rye malt, orange, and orange peel aroma. Cloudy amber with small head and flocculation. Sweet orange, rye malt, and moderately bitter orange peel flavor. Superbly blended. Excellent. kaser (6312) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - OCT 20, 2012
Draft at three Floyd's brewpub. Crazy good. Floral fruity smell. Clear orange pour. Sticky white head. Amazing rye and hops combo, one of my favorites here so far

Typical three Floyd’s hop citrus aromas. Spicy rye and tropical hop citrus flavors. Overall a very good IPA. trumpetskid (106) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 18, 2012
Half pint at the brewpub. This is a terrific double IPA. Wonderful floral aroma. Bitter, juicy citrus flavor with nice dry finish. This beer is very refreshing and easy to drink for its high abv. Very dangerous. superspak (5591) - Michigan, USA - NOV 29, 2012
22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating but was purchased recently. Pours extremely hazy orange amber color with a very nice 2-3 finger dense off white head with awesome retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty foamy lacing clings to the glass. Aromas of huge mango, pineapple, grapefruit, orange zest, caramel, rye spiciness, pine, floral, herbal, and citrus rind. Fantastic aromas with great balance of hop complexity and rye malts. Taste of pineapple, mango, grapefruit, orange zest, caramel, spicy rye, light pine, bread, floral, citrus rind, earthiness, and herbal spiciness. Good amount of earthy citrus rind bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of pineapple, mango, grapefruit, orange zest, caramel, bread, pine, floral, rye spiciness, citrus rind, and herbal earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Fantastic balance and complexity of hop flavors; with a very nice balance with the rye spiciness; zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a creamy, sticky, and slightly crisp mouthfeel that is very nice. Alcohol is extremely well hidden with hardly any warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a fantastic imperial Rye IPA! Great hop flavor complexity and malt balance with the rye; very smooth and easy to sip on. A highly enjoyable offering as expected.

Nomber. Poured medium golden with a creamy, well-retained eggshell head.. nice lacing. The aroma picked up a whole helluva lot of mango, with pineapple and peppery rye also showing.. loved it! The flavor found sweet tropical fruit and biscuity malts at the core.. juicy mango, pineapple, black pepper, and rye around.. lots of tropical fruit bitterness and rye on the long, belly-warming finish. Medium-bodied, juicy, and engaging on the palate.. great stuff! dbarnold (1127) - Bethesda, Maryland, USA - FEB 13, 2013
Kick ass DIPA. Rye adds a slight amount of body and a little mouthfeel, but this is mostly if not completely and assertive hop beer. Body is light. Bitter and piney all over, resinous finish. Very very good. MarinEvelyn (854) - Wisconsin, USA - FEB 24, 2013
Golden orange cool. Small but strong white head. Hoppy, rye, citrus secnts. Tastes hoppy with a slow smooth citrusy aftertaste. beerbaaron (1998) - Arizona, USA - FEB 24, 2013
Solid dark amber. Frothy, lasting white head. Big aroma, very hoppy, citrus, sweet, and rye. Flavor to match. Medium to full body, sticky, balanced hop bitter. Balanced overall. Great beer - everything in it come together really well, Too bad I had this after Hopslam. Ibrew2or3 (8614) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - APR 24, 2013
22oz high shoulder bottle courtesy of StFun pours with an opaque orange copper body that supports a nice looking off white head of foam. The aroma offers up citrus notes of tangelo and getting into some grapefruit with a dash of lemon. These aromatic notes are deepened by thin streams of sweet maltiness. The taste is rich and deliciously bold with malt sweetened grapefruit as well as a mix of tangelo and orange. The citrus hops get progressively more bitter to midway. This is just yummy richness from front to back with a pleasing degree of balance as well.
