(Sample courtesy of Yespr) Pours a clear golden with medium, white head. Good retention and plenty of lace. Good regeneration. Aroma is pleasantly fruity hoppy Nelson Sauvin-style with hints of passion fruit and cat’s pee. Oily texture, medium carbonation, medium to full body and a fruity, slightly sweet finish. Very pleasant indeed. allesmetkaas (170) - NETHERLANDS - MAY 10, 2013
Sampled @ ’Dean’s scared of beer’ testing. Pours amber with a white head. Taste of orange rind, with a great bitter bite in the finish ansjelaah (1748) - Oirschot, NETHERLANDS - MAY 25, 2013

22oz bottle: pools is a nice bright hazy golden amber color. Fluffy white head. There appears to be some yeast or chill haze particulate suspended and settling to the bottom of the glass. I am docking the appearance for this. Aroma is mostly spicy citrus and peachy notes. Very nice! Body seems a little thin but I am not complaining. Average to soft carbonation. Lots do bright orange, citrus, peach, pineapple flavored. Not really getting the spicy rye flavors. Hops are certainly the star here. Super balanced and dangerously drinkable at 8%. want1DIPA (227) - - NOV 22, 2013
Bomber pour. This imperial rye IPA is massive in all aspects! A very strong citrus rye aroma coupled with a splendid hop and carmel balance. Awesome brew. Oh u almost forgot; that color! Wow!

Lots of grapefruits citrus flavors. Sticky but not cloying at all. Obviously there is rye in it too. Totally legit. 574deadzone (1419) - North Central, Indiana, USA - OCT 5, 2012
So I broke down and had to grab a bottle of this. Double rye IPA? Hell yes. Pours more orange than golden, fairly thick cloudy toward opaque, with a pretty sizable off-white cap. Nose involves some heavy yeasty dough notes with a hearty dose of orange, pineapple, and mango citrus hop notes and a dash of spiciness. Taste is quite bitter but fairly sweet as well. Palate is on the fuller side of medium bodied with almost a chewiness to it. No noticeable alcohol burn. A really solid brew: the rye makes a noticeable if not overwhelming impact on it. I hope it’s less than $12.50 a bottle for some of you out there. VRBJG (159) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - OCT 18, 2012
I love Rye-P-As....This is a great example the brew. Smell is really freaking good....citrus. Tastes awesome...the rye...the hops...some caramel...some alcohol....all is there in good balance. Wow. peteinSD (1469) - San Diego, California, USA - DEC 8, 2012
Tap @ PP Carlsbad Strong Ale. Glowing golden/orange pour. Aroma is resinous, pungent pine and hop bitterness with rye and a dry malt backbone. Completely over the top, dominating dank hops. Taste is dense, pungent pine, clean rye, and danky hop bitterness. Clean mouthfeel. A-grade (and then some) hoppy beer. madmitch76 (24807) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JAN 5, 2013

THE Fruit Sour tasting. Thanks to Paul for sharing this treat. Hazy amber beer, good cream coloured head. Palate is light and dry. Semi soft with fine carbonation. Creamy malt and a touch of seltzer minerals. Lovely tropical fruits and a little orange marmalade. Finishes soft. Very nice indeed. A fine beer from the ever great Three Floyds and a fine tribute to one of the creme de la creme of rocks singers. Cheers Ronnie!
