(Draught) Pours a hazy amber body with a medium cream head. Aroma of roasted malt, florals, cinnamon, and citrus. Flavor of grass, herbs, roasted malt, caramel, nuts, earth, and cocoa with a moderately bitter finish. deyholla (11604) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - NOV 7, 2010
On tap at the brewpub. Poured a clear light brown with a white head that dissipated to the edges and laced nicely. Aroma had a bit of pine hops with darker sweet grains to round out the aroma. Flavor began with some pine hops that mellows to dark grains with a slight sweet bread in the finish. hopscotch (11101) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - APR 1, 2012
Draft… CCB’s Hunahpu’s Day 2012… Pours a clear light brown with mahogany highlights and a small, creamy, white head. Good retention. The aroma is roasty and lightly smoky with a nice, piney hop nuance. Lightly toasted, heavily hopped flavor – no nutty or chocolaty notes here. Medium-bodied and lightly creamy with modest carbonation. Crisp, snappy finish with lingering bitterness. daknole (11049) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - MAR 13, 2012
Brown pour at Huna day. Nice creamy head. Aroma is simple but delicious...hops, toffee, caramel. Flavor is really hoppy up front and settles into some nice biscuit, caramel notes. Good stuff.

On tap. Dark brown, two-finger tan head. Aroma is roasty, with some grassy and citrus nuances. Flavours are nutty caramel with citrus hops and a medium bitterness. I’m not sure where this brew is trying to go, it could even fall into the black IPA category really. Anyway, it was pretty tasty. phaleslu (10264) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - OCT 19, 2010
Draft at the brewpub. Pours a cloudy golden-brown color with an off-white head that leaves good lacing in the glass. Aroma is not particularly strong, but hoppy for a brown ale, with notes of orange citrus, wood, and malts. Flavor of sweet caramel malts, citrusy hops, and earth. Light-medium bodied, with average carbonation and a malty mouthfeel. Other breweries might call this their "India Brown Ale." marcus (10227) - Sacramento, California, USA - AUG 30, 2010
On tap at the brewpub. Pours cloudy brown with a thin beige head and a nutty aroma. There is a robust brown ale flavor with a tasty dry piny finish. A nice version of brown ale. GT (10000) - San Diego, California, USA - MAY 28, 2013
Tap at FFF. Clear dark ruby. Excellent sheets of tan lacing. Nose is fresh peppermint, sage, pine. Taste is dry, dusty, loads of white pepper, spruce and waxy pine sap bitterness. Sage herbal overload. Delicious. Can be a bit dusty but comes across as cocoa powder bag mixed with crushed white pepper. DJMonarch (9179) - Northwich, Cheshire, ENGLAND - MAR 30, 2011
