4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Very solid sour brown ale. I lack the ability to describe the aroma but the flavor is tart, some sugary sweetness. Tasty stuff
Sampled at an ESBLS tasting. It poured a brown color with a white head. The aroma was of sour cherries, tartness and some oak. The taste was of sour/tart cherries with more funk and oak. It was light bodied and light carbonation. Nice. Strykzone (7363) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - JAN 3, 2015
Sampled at esbls. clear midbrown. Funky aroma. Brett. Sweet tarts with funky brett. Fizzy feel. Kind of odd. Something very earthy is not really good. cubs (10635) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - JUN 27, 2014
Bottle @ Stephen’s house. Pours a reddish brown appearance with a thin tan head. A bit of cherry, light acetic, tangy aroma with some caramel. Somewhat tart. Dark cherry, molasses, light apple flavor. Not horrendous but kind of strange. Steve_0 (3745) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JUN 27, 2014
Bottle at home with friends, courtesy of Aaron. Thanks man! Pour is murky brown with a small head that quickly dissipated. Tangy, caramelly, brown sugar, red fruits, cherry skins, and raspberry in the aroma. Taste is orange juice, raspberries, brown sugar, tangy, dark fruity, and oaky with a medium sour finish. Medium body with high carboantion. Pretty cool stuff. arminjewell (9676) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - JUN 27, 2014
Pour is dark brownish black with tan head, aroma is cocoa, roast, coffee, hints of nice roasted sugars, hints of dark fruits. Taste is a mix of dark chocolate, roast, coffee, hints of dark sugar finishing dry, sweet. This is pretty nice, but nothing over the top.

Strong sour apple taste. Nice clean finish. For a dark sour this is really good. Like consecration good. Homer321 (5072) - Melboring, Florida, USA - MAY 9, 2014
bottleshare thanks to Beechner224. Bottle 65. Apparently not as good as bottle 64. Smell of cherries and pie. Taste is a lot more puckering than aroma would lead me to believe. beechner224 (1024) - Melbourne, Florida, USA - MAY 9, 2014
Bottle in trade. 65 of 525. Pours a clear brown. No head. Aroma of sour, tart, some oak tannins. Taste is tart, mildly lip puckering, then fades away. Not the most sour, but tartness is nice. DrewFace (969) - Melbourne, Florida, USA - MAY 9, 2014
Bottle 65/525...share thanks to beechner224. Pours a very dark translucent brown color. Big sour aroma, tart, caramel and toffee malt character follows. Very sour up front, quite acidic, moderate sweetness, some mild caramel malt character but sourness dominates.
