Draft @ brewpub. Nice hop character with a sweet malty backbone. I think this is the perfect american pale ale. mxtur (266) - Michigan, USA - APR 27, 2011
If this were the standard for Pale Ale we would all be a little happier in life. dumontn (530) - St. Joseph, Michigan, USA - APR 23, 2011
Draft at 3F brewpub. Pale gold and slightly cloudy with a delicate and quickly disappating head. Mild citrus hop nose, slight pine. Very full body for a pale ale, notes of honey and citrus. Refreshing and easy drinking. A great middle of the road offering from floyds but nothing to write home about. pantanap (3366) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 18, 2011
Three floyds three kings. Growler thanks to Sean for sharing... Pours
a mostly transparent, semi-hazy, orange pour with a thin soapy white
head... Sweet coconut and assertive tropical fruit. Fresh and semi-
dank. Citra? Really nice aroma... Flavors drop off by a small degree
with a grainy malt presence while the hops play a little less
subordinate role from what the aroma suggests. Citrusy, fairly light, while adding a slight bitter note on the finish. Very drinkable semi-
light from a body perspective. Aroma more alluring than the flavor but
still pretty quaffable. makes for easy drinking but would give the nod to zombie dust if given the choice. solid effort though regardless

Draft on tap at the brewpub (Munster, IN). Pours a well hazed golden dulled pour, with a good haze, some more sunny edges, moderate frothy offwhite head atop that dies to a thick filmy layer, laces pretty well. Aromas are a nice citrusy melange, lemon bent, lemon rind, fruit, and zest with touches of grapefruit, orange, florals, some light grassiness, melon and moving into some light bready malts, some dough, pale malts, and crackers. Quite fruity on the nose, melon and some tropical fruit working into the fold as it warms. Nice. Initial is lighter bodied it seems, some vibrant bitter lemon fruit, some rind, lemon cookies, light tropical bite and some soap, florals. Moderate bitterness holds on through bread, Pale malts, touches of bread, crackers, some touches of biscuits. Finish is soapy and floral, lingering fruitiness, lemon rind and dry bitterness of decent quality to moderate strength holds on. A well hopped pale that leaves some elements lingering, isn’t all that complex. A good hop profile, does it’s job. Solid pale that isn’t complex, but is tasty and quaffable.

On tap at the Brewery. Golden orange pour with medium white head. Aroma of bright, fresh floral hops, with notes orange, tangerine, grapefruit. Some pine and resin notes peak out in the aroma too. Flavor is nice, dry, assertively hoppy. Medium bitterness. Pine and citrus notes mostly across the tongue, with a bit of resin in the finish. This is quite a nice beer, refreshing and very drinkable. A good pale.
