Draft at DLD13. Grassy rice malt aroma. Cloudy yellow with moderate head. Lemon, rice malt, and mildly bitter lemon peel flavor. Pleasant and easy drinking. daknole (11402) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - APR 28, 2013
Yellow pour, white head. Flavor actually has a rice flavor with some pilsener malty notes, lemony at the finish. Odd but ok. phaleslu (10673) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAY 1, 2013
Draft at DLD 2013, labeled "Ronin." Pours a clear gold color with a small white head. Clean, citrusy/herbal hops (a hint of pot) balance bubblegum and honey. Light florals, too. Light-bodied, with a sweet mouthfeel that finishes clean. Moderate carbonation. Good palate cleanser for the event. GT (10017) - San Diego, California, USA - MAY 28, 2013
Tap at FFF. No sampler available. Weak foam on low straw. Decent white lace eventually. Nose is mild starfruit any squashy melon hops. Taste is mild, clean, grassy bitterness with starfruit and sweet melon. A lactic mango juice twang is quite refreshing. Really liking the palate. Clean, simple. As it warms, hefty buttered popcorn diacetyl comes through. Not so bad though. jredmond (8648) - New York, New York, USA - MAR 13, 2013
Draft at CCB during Hunahpu Day 2013 with Andrew, Maggi and Geoff. Pours a light amber golden body with light white lacing. Aroma is sweet, floral and light hop. Mouthfeel is medium with notes of sweet malt, sweet citric hops, flowers and light spice. Nice.

Draft on tap at the brewpub (Munster, IN). Pours a richly glowing darker golden pour, some lively orange flashes, darker body with good carbonation. Cakey offwhite head sits atop, mellow layer, ok lacing overall. Gentle haze, striking glow with a darkness in the body. Good mellow head cap. Aromas show mellow bread, gentle grass, grainy malts. Some clean malts, gentle earthy hop is subtle. Mellow rice, straw, kiss of florals, lemon. Initial is lighter end of the fold, touch of girth in the middle. Bready, grainy malts are mellow, rice adds clean malt, mellow, touches of lemon, grass, kiss of lemon cookie. Gentle straw, grass, wet grain and a bit of dough. Gentle dry earthy hops, kiss of lemon, mellow distinct sweetness offfers some life that I just can’t pinpoint. Gentle florals, grass. A mellow easily crushable offering with just a touch of body, some hop flourishes, clean body that gets a touch lemon cookie-ish. Not bad but I prefer their other Rice experiments more it seems. Full pour at DLD2013. Rating from notes. Pours a nice golden color with a large fluffy white head. Aroma of nice grass and citrus hops, mild malt and rice sweetness undertones. Flavor is light, hoppy, mild malt sweetness. Quite smooth and creamy, finishes clean. Average carbonation. The rice added an interesting element here. Draft at pub. No meaningful description on menu. Its a rice ale. Golden pour. Frothy white head. Subtile aroma almost lager like. Taste is sweet malt with a nice lingering malt aftertaste. Crisp and refreshing. Pretty enjoyable. One of the few three floyds beerss not overly hopped and still pretty good.
