Bottled. 2013 vintage. Deep copper pour. Thin tan head faded quickly. Good lacing. Medium thin mouthfeel. Sour, oaky nose. Toffee. Not a lot of hop character. Sweet toffee malt up front. Acidic, tangy oaky finish. Not much hop character. Dry finish. Very tasty. I liked the bottled expression better than the draft I had at Dark Lord Day 2013. ---Rated via Beer Buddy from my iPad.

Bottle shared by a friend. Clear amber pour with a medium off-white head. Aroma of funk, caramel, tart citrus and celery. Sweet malt and caramel flavor with some funk and tobacco before a sweet finish.

Bottle shared by GT. Amber in color with a khaki head. Sweet caramel, golden raisin, and citrus. A bit of vanilla, toffee, apple, and some maple. The flavor is caramel, golden raisin, maple, and vanilla. Notes of oak, dark fruit, toffee, and a bit of citrus. Not bad, just far too sweet.

Pours a hazy amber-gold, medium head that dissipated quickly. Nose is dried fruit, chardonnay, wood, toffee, hints of yeasty funk and some diacetyl butterscotchiness. Mouth is big and creamy, slightly sour up front, then it progresses through a caramelly sweet palate chock full of malts and dried fruit (dates and raisins), some orange peel, then finishes with a slight nuttiness some toasted bread and an ABV warmth. Really complex, and although a bit overpriced, very enjoyable.

651mL orange wax from the FFF bottle shop for something absurb like $18. Poured a clear, deep orange with weak foam. Nose is strawberry, sweet tea, oxidized apple. Taste is big biting acid up front, huge maple barleywine character. Palate is dusty, lemon acid, harsh on the esophagus. Strange beer.

Sample at CBC 2013. Clear copper with a medium sized good lacing white head. Sherry, caramel, wood, raisins, oak. Taste is medium sweet and light/medium bitter. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation.

Bottle received in trade from MeadMe, thanks for the opportunity. Shared with BFD at The Mohers house. Hazy medium gold with a smallish quickly dissipating head. Smells of leather oak vanilla caramel and a bit of funk. The flavor follows the aroma. Not what I expected and a bit out there with flavors. It grew on me as I sampled it, but its not really my cup of tea.

Bottle. This is my first FFF beer. Nice aroma of maple, with a little hint of apple. The beer is very strange tasting. Lots of maple, sour bite, and belgian yeast are apparent. I don’t know if I like these flavors together like this. Nice orange pour with white head.

July 3, 2013 - bottle shared by Joe. Clear orange brown pour. Aroma and taste of wood, spice and sweetness.

Fruity and tart. A bit too much. A dessert beer. And I tend to favor sweet beers but this one is just over the top. Had on tap at the FFF brewpub.
