Tap. Dark brown/orange pour, a little lacing and an aroma of very boozy plums. Flavor is also syrupy sweet plums, noticeable alcohol and finished very hot. Although almost over the top alcohol, I still liked this quite a bit. jbruner (4734) - Marietta, Georgia, USA - JUN 28, 2013
Bottle thanks to trade with joromiller! Pours a hazy copper from the yellow waxed bomber with fluffy cream colored head that leaves good lacing. Aroma of sour Belgian yeast, dark fruits, esters of pepper, but mostly sour fruits. Taste is both sweet and sour notes, nice streets from the yeast and malts, sour dark fruit and pepper, but overlying bourbon oak sweetness, vanilla. Complex with a lingering sour character, in a wonderful way. At first I thought I was duped, but this deserves a much better rating. allfreej (556) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - AUG 2, 2013
Bottled. 2013 vintage.
Deep copper pour. Thin tan head faded quickly. Good lacing.
Medium thin mouthfeel.
Sour, oaky nose. Toffee. Not a lot of hop character.
Sweet toffee malt up front. Acidic, tangy oaky finish. Not much hop character. Dry finish.
Very tasty. I liked the bottled expression better than the draft I had at Dark Lord Day 2013.

Aged an additional half year or so, perhaps longer. Pours a ruby orange amber. Medium, creamy white head, partially lasting with good lace. Pretty big aroma, syrupy sweet, caramel, yeast, sour fruit, sweet fruit, woody and a little ’wild’, wine, perhaps a touch vanilla - very complex. Medium body. Yeasty and spicy upfront with some maltiness. Some even bitterness. Just a light touch of tart. Finish is light fruity sweet, woody dry. Lovely balance. Very complex palate. Smooth alcohol warming in throat. Not too boozey. I think the extra age really mellowed and smoothed things out. Lilja (3159) - Malmö, SWEDEN - MAY 7, 2013
Fat på CBC 2013. En belgare på fransk ek. Smak och doft av ek, lönnsirap och karamell. Torr, nötig med toner av vanilj. God beska.

On tap @ Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2013. This is a blurry deep amber-golden one with a small bubbly and sidesticking just off-white top. The nose has a strong caramel sweetness, glazed and a bit sticky. Fresh melon, some zest and traces of white pepper. Lots of flavor! Oh, this is quite good. Oily on the mouthfeel and average with those small prickling carbonation bubbles. Really tasty! Heavy concentrated and I think it might could be a bit to much in larger quantities than this. Glazed fruits, lots of malty caramel sweetness, a ton of vanilla and wood? Has this been barreled? Hmm.. This is just amazingly flavorful. Fits my palate like a hand in a glove. The correct sized glove that is. 03.05.2013 VsXsV (4437) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - MAY 5, 2013
Draught. Hazy copper liquid with medium off - white head. Aroma of grapes, wood, white wine, apples, orange and light booze. Taste is light sweet and light bitter with notes of white wine, grapes, wood and apples. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Ungstrup (37558) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - MAY 19, 2013
Draft. An amber beer with a yellowish head. The aroma has notes of fresh hops, malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and straw, leading to a dry finish. Christian (13670) - Odense, DENMARK - JUN 16, 2013
Amber with a lasting off-white head. Citrus fruity aroma with dark sugar and caramel notes. Dry and slightly tart fruity flavour with oak notes AndyReynolds (1085) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - AUG 31, 2013
Soured, but oaked? Odd, complex. Shut it Uncle Jim, it is good. Just not quite a 4.
