Draft 8 oz. "mini-shaker" at 3Fs. Thin but noticeably brown head atop a porter to stout dark body. A sharp coffee smell I haven’t found in the Baltic strain of porter before. Flavor is strong with coffee hard candies, but still a bit of lager cleanness. Threads of semi-sweet chocolate chips. Can’t say it goes down easy; I had to wrestle it a little. But when it finally yields, it does so nicely.
Deep brown pour with ruby edges and a tan head. The aroma has dark chocolate, wood, plum, and mild coffee. It has a full body with thick texture and average carbonation. The taste is mildly bitter with a roasted, dry finish. MrSquash (155) - Florida, USA - DEC 3, 2016

22 ounce bottle from Badger Spirits in Beloit, WI, served at cellar temp in a Maudite snifter. Opaque near-black with maybe a faint purple tinge, topped by a dense dark tan head that decays slowly and laces very thickly...bitter chocolate, burnt caramel and spruce notes in the aroma; coffee, as promised? perhaps but it’s faint...on the tongue very, very sweet, thick and decadent, with heavy roast from the get-go gradually replacing the burnt-sugar character as the primary flavor vessel until we get to a quite bitter, burnt-roasted profile at the finish, though the dark sugars do remain...as mentioned, it’s thick, subtly carbonated, bordering on "luscious", a term I feel should be reserved for the most voluptuous of palates and used sparingly...no, I’m not going to say luscious, but close. It’s a big, powerful dessert beer with enough bitterness to keep from cloying, a great pairing with cheddar I would imagine, and probably the best 3F beer I’ve had (either first time or repeat) in some time. Aromas of oak, blackberry jam, coffee, and cocoa. Taste is very similar: sweet dark fruits, oak, light roasted dark cocoa malts, fudge. Finish has some crisp balsamic vinegar notes. Pours dark with a mocha brown foam head that laces my glass. The aroma is malty, with buttery caramel, some smoke, chocolate, minor lactose notes, and roasted coffee. Tasting, I noticed a blend of chocolate and coffee bitterness. There was a nice mixture of sweetness and bitterness too. I enjoyed the coffee and chocolate flavor with a good malty backbone. As the finish fades in flavor and the booze comes through it was very pleasant and welcoming. Overall a damn good beverage and it was very drinkable. Draft sample. The beer is a dark brown with a beige head of foam. The aroma has a lot of sweet chocolate and a complementary level of coffee roast. The taste is sweet and chocolaty. The coffee comes through more as an afterthought and in the finish. Bigger body and a moderate carbonation.
