22 oz. bottle, sent from StFun (thanks a lot, Josh), pours black with a medium foamy tan head. Nose brings out loads of fresh green hops galore, a bit of cocoa, a bit of bitter coffee, and a bit of chalk. Flavour brings out shitloads of fresh green hops and loads of slightly burnt coffee duking it out to fight for the forefront, with a bit of bitter cocoa in the back. This is basically a cross of a stout and black IPA. Super pungent on the hops, but without the harshness of many black IPAs. Full-bodied, bringing the best of both styles to the table. Great stuff.

Bottle courtesy of GT. Thanks! Black pour with a khaki head. Herbal and piney hop aromas along with plenty of roasted malt, licorice, and dark chocolate. Some burnt sugar, caramel, and a hint of smoke. Bitter and hoppy flavor. Tons of pine and woody herbs. Roasted malt, char, licorice, and burnt sugar. Dark chocolate and some coffee, light malt sweetness.

Thanks to Beer Savant for sharing a bottle during his 50th birthday bash. Pours jet black with a medium thick foamy tan head that dissipates slowly. Patchy lacing on the glass. Aroma of roast malt, chocolate and hops. Medium-bodied with flavors of earthy malt, chocolate and resiny hops. The finish is roasty with a coffee and chocolate aftertaste. Pretty good all around.
