draft at Kuma’s Corner. Pours a cloudy gold with a fluffy head. Nose is very phenolic, as expected. Taste is similar. Very stereotypical in terms of the taste. Bananas and cloves, nothing particularly refreshing of clean. Very typical of a tripel. Kinda disappointing, really, in the grand scheme of things. Another reason for FFF for sticking with American styles... Dastrn (115) - Warsaw, Indiana, USA - JAN 17, 2009
On tap at the brewpub.
cloudy golden-yellow in color, with a 2 finger lingering head. the nose was clove, ginger, green apple, butter, pepper, and orange peel. The taste was a little too much ginger/butter for the style, and a little too mild but all around pretty good. The mouthfeel was a little too smooth and flat for my liking, but fits the style ok. All around, a good triple, but I prefer the belgian varieties. railcat1 (706) - Kissimmee, Florida, USA - DEC 29, 2008
On tap,I am not a big fan of Belgians so when I saw it on tap i had to try,it poured a nice golden color with a nice thick head and alot of things going on here with hints of fruits and alot of ginger which gives this beer a unique flavor and a spicey finish,i am always up for trying new beers from FFF but this is not my style but CHEERS to Barnaby and the guys for always coming with something new. On tap at Three Floyds and served in a tulip. This poured a lightly hazy golden with a two-finger thick head of fluffy off-white foam that quickly settled. Hardly any lacing. The aroma included dried orange peel, cloves, sugar-coated figs, and a bit of alcohol. The flavor was also spicy and clovey. Lots of dried orange peel and fruity esthers. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied and very drinkable for the ABV. Not bad, but I have had much better Tripels. tjthresh (1872) - Greenfield, Indiana, USA - DEC 29, 2008
Pours hazed golden with some white head. Nose is light peppery with some candied fruit. Flavor is nicely balance with sweet sugar, banana, and peppery. Lighter body and a dry finish.

On tap @ Three Floyds. Pours a clear golden color with a thin white head. Smells like a typical Belgian beer with clove and citrus dominating. Very interesting flavor. The times I have had a ginger beer the ginger is incredibly dominate. The ginger in this beer just adds a hint of complexity, but it was very enjoyable. Good citrus, clove, and spicy flavor. This was a solid beer, but I decided to get a second Apocalypse Cow instead of having this one twice.
