Wood, chocolate, vinous aroma.
Taste is earthy, woody, chocolate malt, caramel.
Very dry and bitter.....noticeable alcohol bittering as well.

Bottle. Wood, red wine, chocolate malt, and hay aroma. Dark brown with moderate head. Moderately sweet vinous chocolate malt and moderately bitter herbal hay flavor. Body on the light side - mild bitter/astringent finish.

hazy mahogany, moderate cream head laces well, lasts. Toasted oat and booze nose, fair chocolate. Front palate boozy, light medicine alongside, thick with low sweetness, booze dominates all roast and sweet elements, licorice hints alongside mid palate. Finishes lightly grainy, licorice.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a nice dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of roasted malt with some woody notes, roasted malt and black chocolate notes is pretty nice. Taste is a nice mix of roasted malt with some woody notes, some bitter notes and a woody finish with hints of residual sugar with nice chocolate notes also noticeable. Body is full with nice creamy body and good carbonation with no apparent alcohol. Solid beer with nice level of complexity while retaining some good drinkability attribute.
