UPDATED: NOV 30, 2012 This is the biggest saison I’ve ever had in every way. It pours a completely opaque hazy gold/orange with a great white head made up of mostly small, tight bubbles. It smells very yeast/cereal like, citrus hops - ripe grapefruit and mango, orange juice. Follows the nose to a tee - very bready but also very bitter from a strong hop presence. One of my favorite 3F offerings and beers overall. Just fantastic, please make this year round Thechasm442 (1005) - Denver, Colorado, USA - AUG 21, 2012
Zes Zes Zes, also referred to as the 666 beer, on tap in a tulip at FFF. It pours a cloudy orange with a finger of white head and great lacing. The aroma is tangerine, grapefruit, and spices. The taste is mandarin orange, candi sugar, grapefruit, white pepper, and coriander. Mouthfeel is medium and sticky. This is a beyond fantastic saison. zebra (2247) - Illinois, USA - AUG 23, 2012
my favorite beer of the day. thought i saw mike sheerin in the kitchen, hope it wasn’t a hallucination. enjoyed hearing that my waiter liked 1q84, too. thick, herbs, minimal, cough drop, spruce, golden, roasty, slick, nuts, floral ads135 (4924) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - AUG 29, 2012
Delicious combo from two of my favorite brewers. The Belgian yeast and wheatiness is welcome, as is the curious blend of spices that give this full flavored beer its character. Not only citrus and coriander, but floral aspect as well.

I haven’t rated in a long time, but this was worth rating. On tap at the Bristol in Chicago. Looked great, smelled great, tasted great. Much hoppier than your average saison, not as refreshing but still damn good. Excellent carbonation, smooth drinking, boozy. Floral, no wet hay. Gooney (389) - Portland, Oregon, USA - SEP 27, 2012
:22 oz bottle from brewery - pours a nice amber color. Citrus aroma. Very smooth drinking. Fantastic flavor. This is a really good beer. Hammy78 (975) - Dundas, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 5, 2012
Bottle sent to me by a very gracious local. Pours a hazy gold and copper colour with a active white head that recedes down to an almost film with a lot of lacing (and I mean a LOT). Nose is of many different tropical fruits, mango, grapefruit, passion fruit. Three Floyds really have their hopping down pat. Tastes quite bitter and sweet, a caramel like flavour too. Super smooth, possible Belgian yeast. This is reminisent of an IPA, and definetley for the hop lover. Really awesome. bhiner41 (193) - Darien, Illinois, USA - OCT 26, 2012
What an unexpected beer. Tingly mouth feel and a healthy hops finish. Sweet on the front end, dry at the finish. Golden orange color and heavy white head. As expected awesome from 3F & Menno.

65 cl. bottle sampled @ Kraddel does 1K tasting. Procured by Kraddel. Cheers. Golden amber with little white head. Nose is huge on hops, USA, pine, big hay, lots of spices, big pepper, spicy yeast and quite rustic, nice. Taste is surprisingly bitter, very bitter hay, feels like there is quite a lot of old world hops in here as well, Eastern-EU?, grass, lots of barn, very big hay, huge raw spicy yeast, very lingering, grass, light zest, pepper, huge ester. Lovely but so harsh that it is almost hard to drink a glass, let alone a 22 oz. Ridiculously dry body. Quite lovely.
