lusikka (7819) - Tampere, FINLAND - MAY 9, 2012
UPDATED: MAY 1, 2014 Draught @ Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen. Pours a slightly hazy, copper orange colour with a lacy head. Aroma of very, very intensive Citra hops and strong fruitiness. Flavour is also very intensive; strong floral hops, citrus, caramel and lovely exotic fruitiness. Full bodied, thick mouthfeel and a long, bitter, fruity and tangy finish. Excellent. 9-4-8-4-16 4.1, 05/2012.

Draught @ Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen. Pours a golden orange colour with a small head. Nice lacing. Aroma of orange, earthiness, floral notes. Rich and strong flavour with a massive fruity hop kick, grapefruit and caramel just enough to balance the flavour. Beautiful.

Pours clear copper orange with a smooth foamy head. Nice aroma of fruity hops, citrus, lemon, caramel malts and toffee. Taste is extremely well balanced with a lot of citrusy fruity hops and caramel malts. Finish is hoppy and fruity with lemony notes and hints of malts. Great, extremely tasty APA.

Re-rated at Three Floyds Bar, Copenhagen. Even fresher than last time. Simply an awesome APA.

On tap at mikkeller. Pours a clear orange with a tiny off-white head and hints of lacings. Bitter with some sweetness. Lots of hoppy aromas of citrus, lime and flowers. Also hoppy hints of grapefruit, nutmeg and spruce. Medium bodied with hints of that fullness known from Sorachi Ace hops. Medium to soft carbonation. Long bitter finish.

phredrik (1024) - Copenhagen (formerly Aalborg), DENMARK - MAY 9, 2012
UPDATED: MAY 16, 2012 Tap @ Mikkeller Bar. Pours clear golden with a small head. Aroma is full of fresh and zesty Citra hops, loads of citrus, mango, pineapple, lovely bright and fruity hoppiness, very bright and clean. A small hint of biscuity malt im te nose as well. Taste is just as good - lots of Citra hop notes, a very good showcase of this hop - pineapple, mango, citrus and a small grassy note as you burp. A good amount og malt in the body, which makes it very balanced. Lovey stuff, I could session this for hours.

In retrospect I had to bump this baby up because it was a better pale ale than Alpha King, which I had again a couple of days after having Zombie Dust, Alpha King still being worth the 4.1 I gave it when I originally rated it. Using logical deduction, you can easily figure out that this beer is worth at least 4.1, and not the 4.0 that I originally rated it. As it was also better than Alpha King, thus its current rating of 4.2

Pale orange color large white head. Juicy fruit nose, oranges and apricot, wonderful. Light body starts off slightly sweet and fruity then goes into a nice dry grassy finish. Doesn’t really seem like a pale but great.

Orange/gold pour with dense whitish head that lasts longer than the beer will! Aroma is very nice...good combination of citrus fruit and piney hops. Flavor is, well, incredibly hoppy...citrus and piney hops are both there for the party - if you’re into hops, this beer has an incredible flavor - bolder than Alpha King without a doubt. Palate is slightly oily and medium in body. This was an excellent brew that I’m happy someone brought to a party yesterday!
