UPDATED: MAR 14, 2014 For my 500th rating I chose Zombie Dust. Bottle pour at the Three Floyds pint night at Jungle Jims. Pours hazy gold. Nose lots pine, mango, resin. Taste grapefruit bite, some evergreen and then sweet malt. Smooth mouth. Bitter finish. Great beer. For the re rate, I believe a little fresher sample. Unbelievable nose. Mango and resin. Taste more tropical fruit than the last example. Awesome big flavors.

Light copper with a dense white head. Lovely clean, hoppy aroma with the usual tropical suspects, citrus, grapefruit on top of a light malt background. Flavor is chewy, fruity and intense yet clean, sharp and perfectly balanced bitter. Solid as usual when it comes to FFFs hop-forward stuff and an overall lovely US-pale ale.

Bottle straight from the brewpub, thanks to joshmcg000. Slightly hazy, dark gold to amber pour with a 1-2 finger, soapy and creamy head that has great retention and leaves decent lacing. Aroma is crazy, just huge juicy citra hop presence, tons of mango heavy tropical fruit, citrus, fruity floral, a touch of spruce and spice, theres some caramel and biscuit and a little doughy touch, but the hops are what this is all about. Flavor is nearly as awesome with tons of juicy citrus, metric tons of tropical fruit, nice, fruity floral notes, a little spruce, a little cat box, and a sweet strawberry-like fruity note. The malts are a little more pronounced in the flavor than the aroma with some toast, caramel, bread and a little sweet cereal. The palate is also awesome, medium body with a creamy, juicy, almost chewy entry, velvety blanketing light, but slightly sharp carbonation and still juicy, mineral off dry finish. Fantastic beer all around, easily one of my new favorites.

(bottle - 12 oz) Hazy gold pour with a fluffy white head. Sweet and citrus hop aroma with a good amount of tropical fruit notes. Flavor starts off bitter but quickly goes to a very juicy and sweet citrus middle. Slightly dry finish but very sweet and citrusy all around. Smooth and very easy to drink.

Pours Hazy copper with small amount of white head. Aroma is citrus and tropical fruit, very nice. Crisp light to medium body, very easy to drink. Hoppy bitterness up front, a little bit of grass some pine and lots of citrus and tropical fruit flavors. Caramel malt backbone. Pretty great APA.

UPDATED: APR 12, 2014 One of my favorite beers, served in the comfort of my home in a pint glass. Has a strong citrusy aroma with a hint of orange. The appearance of this beer is down right sexy, the fluffy head lets out an amazing aroma and you can see the carbonation bubbling through the golden pale haze. This is a Live beer that sticks in your palate for some time. Suggestion, try it with some parmesan cheese.

UPDATED: JUN 18, 2016 Served from the tap at Hopleaf in Chicago, this came amber with a white head and huge citrus aroma. Lacing all the way up the glass. The flavor is out of this world, and while I suspect the IBUs are high, there is no bitterness. Mild sweetness and a long pleasant finish. Rating revised based on three different batches on tap and three more in bottles. None of them in the bottles measure up to the experience on draught. 3.2 to 3.4 in bottles. Amazing experience on tap.

Great beer; lives up to the reputation. This and Alpha King are great pale ales...almost perfect. Just wish both were easier to get ahold of, which is odd because I live in Indiana. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Fabulous beer. Perfectly crisped IPA that is both tempting and addictive. Don't pass this one up.

Pours a golden wheat color, quick head that doesn't linger. Taste is very hop forward, softening in bitterness as it crosses the palate. Aftertaste is very pleasant and refreshing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
