UPDATED: MAY 26, 2017 Pours a cloudy amber with no head on ta at the Hopleaf in Chicago. Aroma of roasted grapefruit. Flavor is absolutely red grapefruit. This is gumballhead’s darker stronger cousin. This beer is growing on me. It’s hard not to actually taste dust. 4-6-15 This beer has quite grown on me. It’s awesome. Did not contain bobcat would drink again. 11-18-15 just stopping by to make sure we made it perfect rating. Pours hazy golden with a medium fluffy white head. Aroma is a hop bomb with citrus, grapefruit, orange, tangerine, and tropical fruit....just smells awesome! Taste is fruity and citrus hops all the way. This is absolutely delicious and at 6.2%, I could drink this all day. Jriggz7 (117) - Indiana, USA - NOV 15, 2011
Aroma is outstanding. Pine, lemon, grapefruit, that are propelled by the Co2 yes. Simcoe and centinnial hops come to mind. Especially with the bitterness sticks to the tongue(tropical fruit, spruce, citrus) that suggest moderately high lvls of cohumolone aa %. Light malt sweetness that balances well and really showcases the all mighty hops! One of the greats. kftoone (9) - Michigan, USA - FEB 20, 2012 does not count

Pours a deep golden amber with a near non-existant head. Nose is sweet, fruity hops - some resin notes. Beer is carbonated well. Sweet for an IPA - which mostly means it has a solid malt backbone. Good hop bitterness on the finish, but the hop presence certainly doesn’t hit you in the face - which is a nice change of pace. Really I can’t find anything wrong with this beer! Bottle via trade through PUB’R,, the Pennsylvania Underground Beer Railroad, and while we were trading this we pissed on a PLCB emblem and shoved some pins in a Wendell Young voodoo doll. The pour is turbid, thick, dark straw, and has a 3-finger off-white head that laces well. Nose is like Dreadnaught; and in fact in a blind test I trust I could not detect the difference. Huge piney hops with tons of honeydew, tangerine, pineapple, grapefruit, and black pepper all over the place. Definite 10 for nose. Tastes rich, complex, with huge pineapple, tangerine, honeydew, grapefruit, black pepper, and the full profile of my favorite hop, Citra. If I ever remarry, it will be to a Citra hop cone. This one just juices all over the place, all over your taste buds with the aroma filling the olfactory glands, and the taste continuing down the esophageal membranes. even the hop burps on this one smell great. If you can get this one, it is certainly worth your time. I just hope we can keep the eBay scumbags away, and I sincerely hope this review does not spark a wave of trading online, although to be honest I am starting to think that not only does Nick Floyd tolerate the inflated trading of his beers; but he clandestinely encourages it, as with Hollywood, "all publicity is good publicity". kbc (30) - Vitoria - Gasteiz, SPAIN - JUL 12, 2012
El citra en estado puro, Quizá de los aromas más intensos a lúpulo con los que me he topado, mantiene el IBU de una pale ale con ligeras notas a malta en sabor. Mango, Melocotón, Cítricos. Increible prosper0 (15) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JUL 31, 2012
Pours a nice dark straw color slightly amber. Incredible nose to this beer when it’s fresh, beautiful citrus, fruit and floral notes with some sweetness, kind of like a nice mountain breeze, I could almost just sit here all day and smell the nose, had I not then tasted how ridiculously good this beer is next. The taste is so well balanced with the hops it makes this by far the most drinkable beer I’ve ever had. Sweet but not too sweet, bitter but not to bitter. The malts are a slight caramel mixed wonderfully with citrus notes of the hops. Just an incredible example of the pale ale category.
