4.6 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle straight from the brewpub, thanks to joshmcg000. Slightly hazy, dark gold to amber pour with a 1-2 finger, soapy and creamy head that has great retention and leaves decent lacing. Aroma is crazy, just huge juicy citra hop presence, tons of mango heavy tropical fruit, citrus, fruity floral, a touch of spruce and spice, there’s some caramel and biscuit and a little doughy touch, but the hops are what this is all about. Flavor is nearly as awesome with tons of juicy citrus, metric tons of tropical fruit, nice, fruity floral notes, a little spruce, a little cat box, and a sweet strawberry-like fruity note. The malts are a little more pronounced in the flavor than the aroma with some toast, caramel, bread and a little sweet cereal. The palate is also awesome, medium body with a creamy, juicy, almost chewy entry, velvety blanketing light, but slightly sharp carbonation and still juicy, mineral off dry finish. Fantastic beer all around, easily one of my new favorites.
Superb. Perfect balance of hops and malt. It’s pure APA without being over bittered. Aroma is an enticing tease of the flavor you are about to enjoy. Well worth the $2-3 premium over a six of other craft beers. sandbayfishcamp (2) - - JUL 7, 2017 does not count
Zombie Dust is world class. It’s truly special. It’s well balanced with a nice citrus and resin hop finish. Crystal clear with a nice golden hue. I live in Minnesota and make 40 mile trips to Hudson, Wisconsin to buy it. The best APA I’ve ever had. Cousin_Larry (895) - - JUL 6, 2017
My good buddy Nick bought me one for my 40th birthday. Sampled it kind of late in the night, which is unfortunate. But I just couldn’t wait. Really delicious APA with the citrus flavoring I like in my pale ales. Bitter, but not too bitter. Thanks for the gift, Nick and Three Floyds! It was a great birthday. Sampled from a 0.355l bottle @ Top Hops (BA) Bottleshare: Looks blurry golden in my little glass this and it has a small white head. May I say that this is a lovely nose? Cause it it. Wow! Freshnessbonanza. Lots if grass, fresh citrus and hedge. Almost herbal in a way with some citrus hints in the back. Really fresh and inviting. Yeah, fresh is a good word to describe this puppy. Super grassy with lots of fresh citrus, some faint yeast and green tea. It’s just lovely this! Imagine having access to this. 15.06.2013
