Pours cloudy caramel to light brown. Fluffy head that last quit s while. Nice lacing. The aroma is citrus, pine, grapefruit, bubblegum. No malt aromas. The flavor is citrus, grapefruit up front followed by caramel, and pine. Really bad metallic flavor on the back end. Might be a bad bottle. Overall if the metallic was not there its quite tasty on the hops. Ill rate higher excluding the metallic. Very heavy, and sticks with the bitterness all the way down radiomgb (2686) - Peterborough, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 29, 2015
650ml bottle from the Village Beer Merchants in Buffalo, New York. Clear caramel in colour with a thin lasting off-white head, excellent lacing. The aroma is earthy, some caramel, light citrus hops, mild sweetness, chocolate. The flavour is of light orange citrus, caramel malt sweetness, lightly bitter, lots of earth and a bit of chocolate. Bitter mouthfeel, medium/light body, moderate carbonation. Finishes long, sweet turning bitter. Not bad, quite easy to drink. Busick (390) - Lake Wylie, South Carolina, USA - MAY 31, 2014
UPDATED: JUN 7, 2014 A true English style IPA. Pours a reddish brown, very similar to a Newcastle. Taste is somewhat smooth, but carries a heavy swallow. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone hotstuff (5140) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - APR 17, 2014
Rated on 9-18-2011 (Bottle) The appearance is a small semi-fizzy ivory head that mostly diminishes, mostly transparent/slightly hazy amber body, fizzy, fast rising carbonation, and spotty amounts of lacing. The aroma is caramel malt, citrus, pine hops, sweet, and fruity. The taste is sweet, lightly bitter, caramel malt, and citrus hops. The mouthfeel is lively and this beer is light-medium bodied. This beer is not overly hoppy tasting and is easy drinking. DocLock (10647) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 21, 2014
Bomber. Poured hazy medium copper with off-white head. Nose was biscuity caramel malt, hops, mild tannic notes. Tasted bready malty, with notes of caramel, noble hops, and some tannic acidity late.

Presentation: It was poured from a brown 12oz bottle into an Imperial pint glass. The label has a brief description of the beer, its abv (6%) and IBUs (60).
Appearance: The body has a medium reddish amber color with a light haze. This is topped off with a small, very light tan head. The head quickly settles to a thin film with a light ring clinging to the sides of the glass. This makes a little slick lacing at the top of the glass.
Smell: It has a nice leafy and somewhat herbal hop character with plenty of bready and sweet malty notes to back up the hops.
Taste/Palate: There is a solid bready malt base with nice mellow sweetness and some soft caramel notes. Moving on to the finish and it brings pleasant hop bitterness and spicy leafy hop flavor. The feel and carbonation is well balanced and extremely drinkable.
Notes: Overall it has great balance in both flavor and body. This is a beer drinkers beer.

July 8, 2011 - with blankboy, JoeMcPhee, jerc and mabel. Bomber c/o of blankboy. Slightly hazy amber with a smallish off-white head. Odd aroma - paint, floral bitterness, sweet and candyish. Taste is more like a golden ale, grassy with oily cereal grain, again oddly sugary, but at least there is more bitterness in the flavour - dry, stale and a bit papery too - (6-). Astringent, weak carbonation, watery, with a long slightly harshly bitter finish - odd aftertaste too. Erm ... jcwattsrugger (12418) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - AUG 18, 2012
22oz bottle-pours amber with a tan head. Aroma is nutty/cocoa-barley/medium malt/oats, some spice. Taste is roasty/nutty/cocoa-barley/medium malt/oats, some spice/earthy hops. Not what I expected, and out of the style box to my view, but probably in the hoppy English Brown Ale category. Quite enjoyable. jtclockwork (16436) - , New Jersey, USA - JUL 19, 2012
Bottle shared by John. Pours dark amber brown with off white head. Nose and taste of barley, oats, cocoa and nuts. Hints of wet sock on the nose. Some wort. Medium body. zach8270 (4022) - Henrietta, New York, USA - JUL 3, 2012
(bottle - 22 oz) Slightly hazy orange pour with a thin white head. Grassy and hoppy aroma with a very light and mild caramel backbone. Balances quite nicely. Flavor is a bit malty at the start that gives way quickly to a lightly floral and peppery finish. Nicely balanced and easy to drink.
