Big fan of 3 Heads Brewery. This is an English style IPA! Nice malt flavors but not overpowering on the hops. Good balanced beer. pinkie (470) - New York, USA - SEP 24, 2013
Pours copper with golden hues and perfect clarity. A finger of off white foam that fell pretty quickly to a ring and film on top and left great lace to look at while it drinks. Refreshed with each tip of the glass.
Nose is light citrus and toasted grains. Light caramel malt sweetness. Hops are earthy and herbal. The fruit leans toward orange but thereís a touch of lemon in it as well. As it warms the malt gains a slight nutty quality. No alcohol on the nose.
Taste is just what you want in an English style pale ale. The light ripe fruit and the light malt sweetness are inseparable as they greet the palate. The toasted grains vie for a bit of attention and show a bit of deepness and strength. The hops show up herbal and leafy with a friendly bitter to grace the middle of the beer. The nutty quality accents the toasted grains once again as it finishes dry and earthy with itís light sweetness intact and lingering at the back of the throat. It has a low abv and and for alcohol on the palate, only a tiny bit of warmth as you swallow. The bitter becomes a bit spirited as you drink but itís never sharp. Light fruity aftertaste. Body is full with malt but smooth and this drinks light.
This is an amicable, sessionable beer with perky hops in a frisky partnership with toasted grains. Itís light enough to drink all day. The flavors are unclouded and not complex but just enough to keep you wanting more. Drinks effortlessly. Very, very good. zickbeer_ye (441) - Virginia, USA - JUL 8, 2013
Nutty malty coffee scent burnt sugar and some slight veg. Burnt orange body whitish head. Roasty malt with a bready veggie hop taste and some sweet notes. Clean and smooth. r464 (2360) - Earth, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 27, 2013
22oz bottle. Copper color with a huge and very foamy tan head. Balanced, earthy malt with toast, nuts, then a nice whack of hops thatís not too bitter. Decent strength. Would try again. Cybercat (5747) - Georgia, USA - OCT 24, 2014
Comes out of the tap a luscious, crazy golden Amber with a thick and fine-bubbled buff head. Aroma is not strong, dusty and rather hoppy. Flavor, happily, delivers far more than what the wan Aromais promises: boldly hoppy with fruity and malty underpinnings, notes of hay and caramel. Texture is fairly firm and quite lively. Blimey, this is a good brewski!

ChrisO Tasting. Hazy gold - amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is airy, semi dry and has mild fine carbonation. Fluffy malts, thin creamy sweetness. Trace of fresh orange in to a mild marmalade. Little pine. Mild hop spice. Light semi dry finish. Decent.
Cask pour at Dandelion Pub, Philly. Bright golden pour with a cider-y carbonation. Nose was hugely fruity, with sweet malts giving things a bit more shape than the aroma of some IPAs. Nice mouthfeel, a bit on the light side. Flavors are bright and pleasant, perhaps a bit one-dimensional sweet whereas the nose promises a tad more complexity. jb (3224) - Rochester, New York, USA - SEP 4, 2013
Very foamy to start, dark copper. Leaves a rocky head with frothy suds on the side. Nose is caramel, malty, mild English hoppy notes. Taste is initially very nutty, a bit of tannins, dry, earthy, okay. Not my favorite but very well made. jeremytoni (3058) - Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA - SEP 11, 2013
From a bottle poured a copper color with a good amount of head. Light hoppy flavor with a quick finish. KyotoLefty (10207) - Kyoto, JAPAN - SEP 3, 2014
Draught at MacGregors. Dark orange-amber, hazy, with a lacy head. Nose or tropical fruit and caramel. Flavor is chocolate, roasty caramel, pine, tropical fruits, some esters. Sweet treacle. Decent but not as nice as the other ipas. Rather sweet and caramelly.
