November 29, 2013 - with blankboy, gregclow, jercraigs & mabel - bomber. Pretty dark - ruby-black with a solid lasting creamy tan head. Aroma is roast and cream, light bitterness (7-). Taste is pleasant - like a very mild, somewhat grassy black IPA - light body, astringent, medium-quick finish, mild carbonation. Decent. j12601 (12982) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - APR 23, 2017
On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear cherry cola brown with a thin tanned white head. Soft malt and toast, roast, cocoa. Nice big roast note. Cocoa, chocolate. Medium bodied, smooth sweet roast and malt, nice caramel notes, clean and easy. Slow roast into the finish, cocoa and chocolate. JPDIPSO (6257) - Wauwatosa, USA - MAY 29, 2015
Dark brown with a taller diminishing tan head. Sweet somewhat grainy black brew. A mix of dark malt, cocoa, and molasses.

Bomber. Just a massive beige layer of foam. Some earth and roast in the aroma. Perhaps a hint of spice. Earth and cocoa are tasted. Some sweeter fruit. The hops add some spiciness. The cocoa is in front throughout. Decent stuff. crossovert (13457) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 15, 2015
650ml bottle purchased for 99 cents. Dark brown pour. Brett on the nose, brett in the flavor. Just basically unintentional medicine, it is drinkable but cringe-worthy as you expect a black lager and get this twisted abomination.

Reviewed from notes.
This was poured into a pilsener.
The appearance was a decent looking black color with a two finger white to off white and possibly even tan (depending upon who looked at it) head. This head dissipated within about a minute and left a decent lacing here and there, messy, but hey it was there.
The smell had some light coffee grounds with a semi-decent rolling chocolate underneath.
The taste was bitter, roasty and sweet from the previously mentioned flavors.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body and came across fairly sessionable for the most part. It came across fairly smooth and slightly creamy across my tongue.
Overall, I say this was a good schwarzbier. Thanx Josh for the second bottle. jtclockwork (16955) - , New Jersey, USA - JUN 1, 2014
Bottle. Pours black with tan head. Nose/taste of smoke, toasted chocolate, smoked pine and touch of roast. Hint of coffee grounds. Medium body. beerbill (3619) - Laurel, New York, USA - FEB 27, 2014
22 oz. bottle. Pours black with a moderate-large tan head that lasted though the first quarter of the glass and left ample lace. Pleasant aroma of molasses. The flavor is molasses along with some lightly roasted malt. Mild bitterness at the finish. A little rough on the palate; not as smooth as I would like in a lager. Medium bodied.
