Straight from a large bottle. Didn’t pour, so a little short on info but this local beer gives my stout fanhood a run for its money. It’s dark, it’s not too bitter, and it drinks smooth for the style. The aroma is superb. I opened this early in the afternoon as I expected a small amount of caffeine (only to find that there is a negligible amount and this is just an excuse to drink at midday) and could not finish it. It is quite strong for how easy it drinks, so I broke the law and put the cap back on to save it. Unlike any other beer of any type I’ve ever had it was still good the next day, and still smelled fresh and crisp. This is an unbelievable characteristic and I must say this is about the best of any local or regional beer I’ve had. Could do without the cartoonish labeling small time breweries seem to be hooked on. I may try again to get more quantitative info (pour, head, color, etc) JHeath99 (1680) - Warner Robins, Georgia, USA - JUN 8, 2015
Bottle. Pours an opaque dark brown with a thin ring of light tan head. Aroma and taste of coffee, roasted malts, and chocolate. kramer (6905) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 14, 2015
Bottle. Pours a clear light brown body with a small fizzy beige head. The nose is lightly chocolaty with a noticeable, not heavy coffee accent. The flavor and body are both a bit thin. The coffee doesn’t exactly jump out at you either. It’s not a bad drinker though, there’s some decent chocolate malt and a bit of dark caramel. Lighter bodied and a bit watery with soft fizzy carbonation. Meh, not one that I’d purchase a second time, but this one bottle wasn’t bad. AWISLguy (3327) - Wisconsin, USA - FEB 21, 2015
Bomber from Antioch Fine Wine. Pours very dark, almost black with a tan head. Spotty lacing. Aroma has green coffee beans, spices and caramel. Something sour as well. Taste is of sweet caramel, spices, earthiness, some sour and a bit of espresso. Medium bodied. Finishes sweetly tangy. Not sure if this was bad/old - no bottle date. Not good though. 12.8 katrinaez (2249) - norristown, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 3, 2015

Nice espresso characteristics but pales in comparison to the Bells Java Stout I picked up on the same trip. Still mighty fine. crossovert (13914) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 17, 2015
