Bottle shared by DrSilverworm. Pours a cloudy orange brown color with a dense medium sized beige head. The aroma was sweet, citrus juice, herbal, and soapy. The flavor was similar, but had a hint of oatmeal, metal, mild bitterness and prickly carbonation. This was a bit of a mess.

KyotoLefty (10197) - Kyoto, JAPAN - SEP 3, 2014
Draught at MacGregors. Brow-orange color, fine low head. Very fruity nose; cherry, orange, lemon. Very fruity flavor of cherry, orange, pineapple, grape. Earthy hops, some pine, nice bitterness. A strange but good fruitiness. Good beer.

651mL thanks to nmann08. Pours a clear, tea red. Decent yellow foam. Spotty lace. Nose is heavy red apple skins. Oxidized apple juice. Taste is bitter, pine needles, sharp herbs. Dry, herbal, forest palate. Long tannic tea astringency.

22oz bottle, thanks to radarsock. Totally hazy darker orange brown color. Thin khaki head. Sort of bubbly, but it has good retention. Just a couple loose dots of lace. Stronger, soft carbonation, Medium body. Kind of a metallic flavor, some spicy hop. Lightly fruity. Weird light bite, light bitter, more sweet. Nothing really working for me with this brew. Must be a bad or old bottle, Im thinking.

Draft. Pours amber with an off white head. Fruity citric hops, caramel malts, and a nice lingering candy hop bitterness. Full bodied and quite tasty.

Bomber to snifter (thanks DrSilverworm). Looks alright; a murky orangish-brown with fluffy light beige head. Smells sweet, citrusy, and bitter. Tastes like it smells, but less balanced. Average on the palate.

Bottle courtesy of Andrew at Dadtoberfest 2012. Pours a deep amber red body with light off white head and lacing. Aroma is caramel malt, pine and tropic hop. Mouthfeel is medium with notes of sweet caramel malts, resin, pine, and light bitter grapefruit. Nice.

PorterPounder (7893) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - APR 17, 2014
Albany, Ga. - Warehouse Package Store - 12 oz bottle. Pours a hazy dark copper, very slight off-white head - a touch of lace. Aroma is pleasant, a hint of spruce, some apricot fruitiness. Flavor is solid and well balanced with some solid grapefruit bitterness, a touch of yeasty bready notes, some minty side notes. Mouthfeel has a nice crispness to it. Nothing unique or special, but a good solid drink.

Strykzone (7305) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - JUN 10, 2013
Bomber. An amber beer that is clear and sports a nice three finger beige head. An aroma that is full of citrusy hops and oatmeal. Malts are almost buried. The flavor brings out those hops nicely. They are nicely bitter and citrus with some pine. They are definitely the star of this show. Oatmeal is interesting here. Malts play second fiddle. Not sure why this was not called an IPA because it pretty much is one. It is a tasty one, too.

PhillyCraft (7082) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 24, 2012
Bottle after Thanksgiving dinner. Slightly clearish cranberry pour with khaki med to large head. Awesome streaks of lacing surrounding the inners of my glass. Aromas are very hoppy and red ale dominant..piney. Smaller notes of spicy grains malt, caramel toast, pepper, rust, and cherry. Taste is bitter hops, ashy grains, cracker jack, oats, tobacco, and light vanilla.
