3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Jimmy’s, tapped 3 days ago though relatively freshly kegged. More brown than red, unfiltered. Great body, full but not heavy, mostly dry with a decent hop character. Coffee and mild coffee. Very decent.
Mix of floral and citrus hop aroma, taste is a similar mix, not too bitter...pretty smooth but kinda one dimensional BeerdedDave (1853) - Beckley, USA - OCT 12, 2015
beautiful red color; bready malt aroma with light floral hop notes; bready malt flavor with light caramel notes and a goo deal of hoppy bitterness; dry, bitter, bready finish Nejhleader (1574) - Lemoyne, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 6, 2015

12 oz bottle. Pours dark red, off white head, little lacing or retention. Aroma is typical red-ale: warm, malty. Flavor is malty to start, then hoppy, big time, bittering, with citrus fruits in-between. Dank finish, dry. I’m skeptical of most smaller local beers, but this one definitely doesn’t fail to impress. Bottle gift from SJ. Nice notes of bread, hop, and caramel malts. Body was a bit thin, but not a bad brew overall.

Has classic hoppy red ale aroma. Taste: somewhat subdued at first, but then resin and some unusual and interesting tangy fruit kick in. Lively carbonation. Creamy mouthfeel, but not heavy. Almost sessionable. Nice beer, especially the finish. chinchill (5226) - South Carolina, USA - DEC 30, 2014
Undated but just purchased 12 oz bottle.
This is first and foremost a hoppy red ale with no clear sign of oatmeal although it may contribute to the relatively smooth feel. Moderately bitter with plenty of tropical fruit notes and some spiciness from the hops. The hops seem more earthy and herbal and less fruity in the nose. Lingering, moderately bitter, hoppy aftertaste. Maverick34 (3315) - New York, USA - DEC 4, 2014
