Pours deep amber with bitter hop notes. Nice lacing leads into a caramel, dense grain, toasted notes, and mild hop bitterness. Finishes with a nice deep flavor. shadey (2152) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - MAY 25, 2012
22oz bottle from Beers of the World in Henrietta. Pours a deep red with a nice head of soapy white bubbles. Aroma is plenty hoppy and with some caramel sweetness. The flavors are very well blended - the oatmeal helps develop the body nicely. Incredibly easy to drink. Jow (4082) - Orlando, Florida, USA - JUL 1, 2012
Bottle to enjoy Sunday evening. Pours deep copper with 2 finger beige head and nice nose of spruce forest. Tastes of malt, caramel, pine, earth, and toast. Pretty dry and plenty enjoyable jb (3407) - Rochester, New York, USA - JUL 9, 2012
This was a pleasant surprise. Very hoppy nose, citrus notes dominate, particularly grapefruit. Orange/red appearance, dark thick head with much retention. Beautifully balanced hop / malt. Takes amber to a new level. Oats add body and a bit of sweetness. This one is going to get a regular spot in my fridge.

Lite bitterness and bit of spice in aftertaste.
I'm not a big red fan, but I dig this beer! ddemmingjr (890) - Chagrin Falls, Ohio, USA - JUN 23, 2012
Bottle: pours deep clear copper, soft tan head. Aroma of caramel malts, earth, pine and faint grains. More of the same on the palate with a reasonable dryness and malt based finish. Barely got the oatmeal distinction for this hoppy red.

On tap at Jimmy’s, tapped 3 days ago though relatively freshly kegged. More brown than red, unfiltered. Great body, full but not heavy, mostly dry with a decent hop character. Coffee and mild coffee. Very decent. PhillyCraft (7909) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 24, 2012
