Bottle into a goblet. Pourss a ruddy amber with a slight off white head that leaves medium lacing. Very strange aroma that is sweet and grassy. The oatmeal is really present here, all around, and it works great. Smooth mouthfeel with big grassy, bitter hop character. jeremytoni (3058) - Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA - AUG 17, 2013
From a bottle poured an amber color with a fair amount of head.Light malty flavor with a quick finish. gsmitty80 (2130) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 14, 2013
Great beer that is almost an imperial red but the oatmeal cuts it down. High malt and hopping leaves this one as pretty chewy but the flavors are spot on for a big amber. zvsn (2092) - ISRAEL - JAN 21, 2014
Bottle sample at a tasting. Thanks DSG. Almost clear orange-copper with a medium white head. Aroma - citrus peel, pineapple, lychee, grapefruit. Taste - sweetish, with citrus, tropical fruits, lemon zest, caramel, nice hoppy bitterness, well balanced. Medium-bodied, easy drinking. Good.

12oz bottle poured into a tulip glass.
Slightly hazy amber with a big, rocky off white head.
Fruity hops, tropical notes, some grass and flowers.
Juicy hop flavors, light caramel malt, marmalade, hi bitterness.
Medium bodied, very hoppy, slightly over carbonated but fun.

Reviewed from notes.
The appearance has a mahogany colored body that leaves a one finger white foamy head that concaves into the body within about twenty seconds.
The smell is based around some citrus and floral yet somewhat sweet hops. Some light malty oatiness comes out as the beer warms.
The taste takes the smells and adds a nice sweet yet somewhat bitterness.
The palate sits about a medium sort of feel indicating a great balance of wateriness to thickness. This is fairly sessionable.
Overall, though the beer has some nice qualities that are different for the style, it is still good for the style and good enough for me to have some more. ttroha (516) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - MAR 29, 2014
Tap from Lazy Dog. Pours hazy amber with cream colored head. Aroma of citrus. Taste of citrus and beer. Good beer. DrunkSanta410 (940) - Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA - APR 11, 2014
Bottle. Pours a bright amber / red. Aroma is mild caramel malts and slight piney hops. Taste is hoppy, pine with a well rounded malt backbone bringing hints of caramel and toast. Fades to a solid bitterness. Palate is creamy, med to high carbonation. Overall a delicious beer. Well rounded. KyotoLefty (10262) - Kyoto, JAPAN - SEP 3, 2014
Draught at MacGregors. Brow-orange color, fine low head. Very fruity nose; cherry, orange, lemon. Very fruity flavor of cherry, orange, pineapple, grape. Earthy hops, some pine, nice bitterness. A strange but good fruitiness. Good beer. Maverick34 (3239) - New York, USA - DEC 4, 2014
Bottled. Reddish tinged brown with white head. Sweet oats and hoppy red with juicy malt. Good.
