beautiful red color; bready malt aroma with light floral hop notes; bready malt flavor with light caramel notes and a goo deal of hoppy bitterness; dry, bitter, bready finish j12601 (13304) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - FEB 25, 2012
Bottle. Pours a clear ruby amber with a large creamy yellowed beige head. Crisp and clean citrus on the nose, hoppy and bright, not overly pungent though. Medium bodied, smooth and lightly sweet. Picks up a faint metallic tinge, oatmeal smoothing out everything, earthy with some dank hoppiness. The creamy sweet body is an interesting change from the standard red ale. Balanced fairly well, gentle hoppy bitterness on the finish, almost the faintest hint of cocoa as well. Easy drinking. MacBoost (1962) - Victor, New York, USA - APR 12, 2012
UPDATED: JUL 13, 2012 10 rating. I’m in, team tubes. Pours a deep red, rusty color with an initially large head that fade fast. Piney hops in the nose. Taste is bitter, mouthfeel is slick and slightly chewy. Strong malty backbone. Decent amber ale, but slightly overpriced (all 3HB beers are) and not outstanding. Having said that, this is hands down the best beer made in Rochester, NY. DietPepsican (1589) - @ $13.99, Iowa, USA - JUN 29, 2012
Another blackipa gem. Great head and lacing on this amber beer. You’ll be happy if that’s your thing. Graham cracker, oat, earthy hops, citrus, a touch of pine all in the nose. Odd mouthfeel, but I actually like it for a change. zach8270 (4021) - Henrietta, New York, USA - JUL 3, 2012
(bottle - 22 oz) Copper pour with a creamy looking white head. Hoppy and citrusy aroma . Flavor begins with a good citrus hop flavor with a slightly dry and fruity bitterness. Oatmeal isn’t very apparent but that doesn’t matter to me. Really great citrus and floral hop flavor.

Slightly hazy amber coloured body with a muddy brown glow and a thin, one centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of bright citrus and piney hops with a good malt note, some assertive roasty notes and a bit of a herbal dry kick. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong assertive hop notes with cascade and a bit of a piney kick that fades fairly quickly to fairly mild malty flavour with alcohol and a very pungent hop kick in the back. Aftertaste is nice, but fairly one-dimensional with only hops noticeable, but in a good way. Overall, a nice and rather fitting beer, aside for the fact that the malt (thus oatmeal) isn’t noticeable at all - and this is basically a hoppy amber ale with little else to support it’s intentions. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from K&E Discount Beverage in New Paltz, New York on 21-July-2012 for US$7.99 sampled at home in Washington on 02-September-2012. zdk (1917) - New York, New York, USA - OCT 13, 2012

Draught at the Gingerman NYC sept 2012. Dark amber beer with a small offwhite head. Very sweetish and hoppy aroma. Similar flavour. boxofrane (2559) - Spring City, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 6, 2013
Bomber from Wegman’s college ville. Pours reddish copper with some light coming through, a medium sized off white head, medium lacing. The aroma is certainly hoppy. There is a good bit of floral notes, medium pine, tropical fruit, a little sweetness. The taste has a nice hop punch at the front of the tongue that gives way to some caramel malt, a little rye, a little citrus. A solid offering.. and a bit dry, honestly. r464 (2377) - Earth, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 29, 2013
Amber copper color with a foamy tan head. Very dry, hoppy, bitter. Citrus zest, grass, woodiness. Malt and fruit deep beneath.
