Bottle. Pours dark brown tan head. Nose/taste of smoked chocolate, roast chocolate, vanilla cookie - medium body. j12601 (13189) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - APR 24, 2015
Pouring at TAP NY 2014. Pours a brown with a ruby tinge under a medium sized beige head. Smoke and roast, chocolate and coco. Medium bodied, roast, cocoa, chewy. Gentle campfire and lingering smoke into the finish. kramer (6908) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 22, 2015
Bottle. Pours a clear ark brown, almost black, body under a very small fizzy light brown head. The nose is pretty well balanced between the smoke and the lightly sweet chocolate and caramel malt base. The flavor is just lightly smoky, but there’s a fairly decent Porter in there at least. Lightly sweet on the finish with lingering chocolate. Light to medium bodied with soft carbonation and a slight clinginess. Meh, not the best Smoked, but one go around is worth it. An enjoyable smoked beer because the smokiness wasn’t over the top and didn’t kill the palate. At the base it’s a nice porter with some roasty/smokey notes added. Cybercat (6220) - Georgia, USA - SEP 2, 2014
Pours a rich sable with a thick, though effervescent, tan head. Aroma has tempting roast malt, molasses, and mocha notes. Flavor pounces on the tongue with smoky malt, coffee, molasses, and subtle unsweet chocolate notes. Texture is a little thin, but fairly fizzy, and leaves a smoky finish. Ho ho a moho, definitely a moho. Bottoms up!

(bottle - 22 oz) Dark brown pour with a tan head. Very lightly smoked aroma with a nice bitter coffee roast. Roasted malts at the start of the taste with that light smoke coming up near the finish. Bitter aftertaste with a kiss of smoked malts. Not overpowering. A bit thin though. Busick (398) - Lake Wylie, South Carolina, USA - JUL 6, 2014
Love this brewery, but was not blown away with this smoked porter. A great beer to have around, but is lacking in the ’special’ category. Ron (4216) - Rochester, New York, USA - MAY 29, 2014
Bottle. Pours black with a lacy, tan head. Aroma strong of smoked and roasted malts with some chocolate and coffee. Flavor the same with a smoky maltiness. Smooth and thick texture. Thanks from the trade JB. Homer321 (5202) - Melboring, Florida, USA - MAY 25, 2014
Draft at The Distillery. Nose is slightly smokey with some merat and campfire notes, but is mostly chocolate. Pours a medium brown color with light brown head. Taste is only lightly smokey at best. Lots of chocolate and light roast with solid malt backbone. Just lacks smoke. Otherwise good. Gamin (459) - Brockport, New York, USA - MAY 19, 2014
Anise and raisins in the aroma. Deep opaque black color with a minimal, light tan head. Very timid smoke flavor that doesn't overpower it. Otherwise a pleasantly roasty porter with a light body. I like it but it's not particularly remarkable.
