Rochestafarian n. 1. A beer, malty in nature, brewed to honor Rochester, NY. Like the city’s fine funky music, this sweet, full bodied, slightly bitter brew is sure to sway the soul and bring about a feeling of Irie. 2. One who loves 3HB.

Oakes (19332) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 3, 2018
Light amber-brown colour, though not much head. There's a light caramel note to this. Has a mellow caramel note. Thin. Kind of bland - doesn't have the malt complexity one hopes for in a Scotch Ale.

355ml bottle at Matt's. Pours a bit hazy amber with a tan head. Aroma is bready with some caramel notes. Similar taste. Not bad, actually.

mcberko (19803) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 3, 2018
12 oz. bottle, pours a hazy dark amber with asmall beige head. Aroma is rather herbal, with boiled vegetables, toasted caramel and bready malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with toasted caramel, vegetal and herbal notes, and bready malt. Lacking depth and seems a bit off with the vegetal character. It's alright.

GIJOE (1258) - North Berwick, Maine, USA - JUN 7, 2017
Pours a reddish amber with a frothy off-white head. Nose is malty, notes of caramel. Taste is balanced: sweet malty backbone and some lightly bitter hop notes. Fairly standard Scotch Ale. Pleasant.

hopdog (13191) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 28, 2017
22oz bottle. Poured a rubbish color with an averaged sized off white head. Earthy, malty, toasted caramel, and some peatiness.

Bottle from Wegman’s. Aroma of caramel malts with some roast malts as well. Sweet and full bodied.

Bottle: Poured an amber with tan head. Aroma is malty. Taste is leafy, metallic and sweet malt finish.

njnut (486) - Toms River, New Jersey, USA - MAY 4, 2016
Poured into tulip a whisky color with little head that Another customer Thought was a bourbon in less than a minute. Seemed a little weak for a wee heavy. No alcohol note and was malt heavy in the taste and aroma. Was not sweet on the nose though. Had a very slight ting of metal in the finish.

Bottle. More or less right for the style, but tastes light for a Wee Heavy. I’m not getting depth here. It isn’t cloyingly sweet, but maybe that’s the problem. Not a lot of space for complex malts. Aftertaste isn’t ideal either.

Pours cloudy ruby to brown cplor with soft tan head. The aroma is caramel, sweet, toffee. The flavor is caramel, earthy, roasty, some smoke, leaves roasty note at end. When warms, notes of chocolate. Overall nice palate, fairly thick. Reminds me of oscar blues.
