Bombers from Capone’s and Wegman’s. Pours turbid ruby reddish with minimal off-white head. Nose is earthy nut browny, caramel malt. Tastes metallic, earthy, pretty bad actually. Finishes medium in palate heft with some earthy metallic notes. The first miss from these excellent brewers.

Poured into tulip a whisky color with little head that Another customer Thought was a bourbon in less than a minute. Seemed a little weak for a wee heavy. No alcohol note and was malt heavy in the taste and aroma. Was not sweet on the nose though. Had a very slight ting of metal in the finish.

Pours cloudy ruby to brown cplor with soft tan head. The aroma is caramel, sweet, toffee. The flavor is caramel, earthy, roasty, some smoke, leaves roasty note at end. When warms, notes of chocolate. After reading some other reviews, I am wondering if I got a bad batch. The beer was impossible to pour at one time, as the head was just too large. It lasted quite a while. Note: I will occasionally pour a bad beer, but I actually tried patiently on a bottle and it still was foaming like crazy. After letting it sit until the head died, it looks like murky pond water. There are caramel and toffee notes but upfront it is way too carbonated. Something vaguely vegetable about it too.

Bottle. Pours a clear dark ruby body with a small fizzy beige head that faded to a wispy film. The nose is sweet and super malty with a light hint of roast and tobacco. The flavor is a bit flat, a little too sweet without a whole lot of depth to it. Lots of fruitiness, some tobacco, a little alcohol. Medium bodied and a touch clingy with minimal soft carbonation. Meh, like many beers of this style, it’s just all sweetness, and not a lot of nuance.
