I am not a fan of IPA’s or APA’s but this one is something special. The hop bitterness is balanced in the mid-palate by a touch of warm sweetness that rounds out the flavor and makes this the best hoppy beer I’ve had. thegreenrooster (4562) - St.louis, Missouri, USA - NOV 23, 2013
Pour is a cloudy yellow with a huge white head. Aroma is nice and hoppy with some sweet honey malt. Flavor is again decently hopped with a little sweetness toward the end. Adequate IPA. Godofthecellar (678) - NYC, New York, USA - NOV 8, 2013
Poured a monster head... took a very long time to fill a glass, each second of pouring was an eruption
smell of pine, resin hops with a suttle citrus rhind bitterness.
taste was similar to smell only more piney bitterness than citrus TheodoreRuxpin (7) - Manahawkin, New Jersey, USA - NOV 7, 2013 does not count
Poured a whole bunch of head...but it is from Three Heads, so I guess it was to be expected...overall not bad at all. I could drink this again for sure. Onslow (1532) - Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA - OCT 16, 2013
Pour from a 24 oz bottle. Clear yellow brew with white head - nuthin wrong with that. BIG hops aroma, citrus and pine, Taste is very light malts at the start, but malt there is, and then moderate citrus, grapefruit, juniper hops. Good but kind of falls short of the expectation set by the aroma. Palate is rather thin. Fine brew and super tasty - hard to be a standout in this day.

Presentation: It was poured from a brown 1pt. 6oz bottle into a tulip glass. The label lists the ABV at 6.8% and the IBUs at 76. It also has a nice commercial or brewer’s description of the beer.
Appearance: The body has a lightly hazy with a honey amber color. The pour produced a small creamy off white head. As it slowly fades and sides down the glass as I drink, it leaves thick sticky lacing on the glass.
Smell: It has lots of sweet juicy citrus hops with fruity notes of peach and apricots mixed with honey over white bread.
Taste/Palate: There is a thin light bready malt base which showcases the big fruity hops. The hops bring lovely lemon and grapefruit citrus notes with lighter notes of peaches and apricots. The bitterness slowly builds up to the finish which brings out the piney notes of the hops. A firm but not overpowering bitterness lingers nicely on the tongue. The palate feels just a bit light but not watery and the carbonation is smooth.
Notes: This IPA has a defiant West Coast vibe. It’s all about the hops and the hops are about citrus and fruit with a twist of pine.

I have to remember this is an IPA, and not an IIPA.
reasonably malty and nicely balanced, not overly aggressive with hops. not bad. r464 (2372) - Earth, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 31, 2013
Pine, grass, bitter hops, citrus zest. Light finish, but punchy and fairly crisp. Smooth and a good IPA overall. maxwelldeux (4433) - Snohomish, Washington, USA - AUG 30, 2013
Bottle. Pours a hazy orangey gold color with a moderate frothy white head on it. Nose is strongly hoppy and filled with grapefruit and citrus notes. Taste is fairly bitter with the same grapefruit tones coming through, yet manages to be extremely smooth. Very good IPA. TheJester (2543) - Cavan Monaghan, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 18, 2013
355 mL bottle. Nice looking beer - golden with a bright white head. Mild citrus in the nose. The flavour, while not exactly living up to the ambitious commercial description, does have elements of both resin and citrus. Nice, drinkable IPA.
