UPDATED: SEP 6, 2005 Bottled. Golden colour, rich, firm head. Bready aroma. Medium dry. Beneath a thin curtain of grassy hops lies a pleasant, flavourful malt characte. The flavour profile is clean, and the moutfheel gentle. Salty finish. A really well balanced and well madebeer. Why aren’t all pale lagers this good? It’s a damn shame that there are so few breweries trying to make something else than cut every corner into making cheap beers to earn money on crap lagers, when you can make something uncomplicated taste like this. Big lasting foam. A nice fargrance and a sturdy aroma with apparent hops. Too much carbonation, but all together not that bad. Hildigöltur (5104) - København, DENMARK - FEB 17, 2005
Golden coloured. Quite malty aroma with bready and hoppy notes. Fresh and rather hoppy flavour with a pleasant dry and bitter finish. Fresh. Quite good. rickgordon (3878) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - FEB 9, 2005
Clear pale golden, big head with small bubbles. Citrus and hop notes in the aroma - nice. Discrete, balanced bitterness, a bit dry. Rounded mouthfeel. Medium bodied. bark (255) - Linköping, SWEDEN - FEB 9, 2005
Bottle. The colour is very pale yellow; the white foam is quite big just after the pouring, but it dissolves rather quickly into a very thin lid.

The smell is kind of discreet with a chemical touch and a somewhat bitter note and a hint of fresh fruits. I couldn’t find any of that vapid sweetness that one expects from a Swedish pale lager.
The carbonation is fresh (and on the right side of sharp) with lots of bubbles.
The taste is quite light with a somewhat fruity note. It is overall well balanced with a soft gentle bitterness and a clean, dry and mild body. I could trace a touch of crisp bread. The aftertaste is a bit malty with an underlying mild bitterness; very clean, balanced and quite short.
With this limited edition lager, Krönleins (formerly known as Appeltoftska) Brewery is celebrating the fiftieth anniversary of the legalisation of beer 3.5%-5.6%. And what more convenient way then with this skilfully made, well-balanced and rather uninteresting lager, typical for the brewery?
Bottled: Pale yellow. Clear. Dense white head. Smooth fruity and light hoppy beer. Quite flowery. Has some body. Is light bitter in the end. fiulijn (21022) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 20, 2006
Hazy blond color, nice perlage, creamy head. Balanced but quite simple; light malt taste, quite strong bitterness. Emil (6064) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAR 13, 2006
