Bottle, at home.
Redbrown with a small head. Aroma moderate malty and hoppy (caramel). Flavor moderate sweet and light bitter. Light to medium body, soft carbonated. Not that much Christmas in this beer! sayravai (4710) - Helsinki, FINLAND - DEC 5, 2005
(Bottled) Dark, clear cola color with a medium, lacy and quite creamy head. Quite roasty, sweetish-malty aroma. Sweetish, caramely-malty, moderately roasty flavor with sour hints. Medium-bodied with balanced carbonation. A decent vienna. hammenlind (737) - Sundbyberg, SWEDEN - NOV 28, 2005
Dark brown reddish colour. Thin tan head. Fruity, somewhat spicy nose. Medium bodied. Some notes of lemon, caramel and malt. Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - APR 26, 2005
UPDATED: DEC 26, 2005 (Bottle 50 cl) Dark-brown with an orangey red glow, almost no head. Very classical for a Swedish Christmas beer with it’s caramel notes from the Münchener-malts. Nice hop-bite on the palate balanced by the malty sweetness. Quite well-made and harmonious beer. 290603

Dark amber coloured beer with a small head. Light spicy, fruity and sweet aroma. The taste is light sweet fruit caramel with spices and malt. It is a bit watery. The finish is light bitter. Not worth buying. veronika (410) - SWEDEN - JAN 1, 2005
Dark brown, with a brown head. Aroma from cinnamon, banana, cream and some cocoa. Flavor brings cinnamon, coffee. Has a sweet finish. bark (255) - Linköping, SWEDEN - DEC 20, 2004
UPDATED: FEB 9, 2005 Bottle. The colour is dark brown-red, the big pale beige foam is quite compact.ante (3373) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - DEC 13, 2003
The smell is fresh with a light sourish note; the malt is somewhat burned and sweet. A trace of cocoa is present.
The carbonation is refreshing; it feels OK in the mouth.
The taste is rather mild and a bit sweet with some notes of burned malt, brown sugar, sweet strong white wine, some diacetyl. The body is good and the bitterness starts with a very gentle taste that slowly grows to a well-balanced malty taste. The aftertaste is short with some notes of a gentle bitterness and a touch of boiled vegetables.
I found this beer very easy to drink; it will probably work fine as an after dinner drink when you just had enough of yuletide food. I found this lager a pleasant surprise as the Krönlein Brewery mostly brews generic lagers in an American/Australian style.
Copper-brown volour. Small bubbly head. Toffee, brown sugar and small notes of apricot in aroma. Fruity and malty, hints dark bread with decent hop bite. For a macro brew, it was a nice surprise. Ingevara (910) - SWEDEN - DEC 5, 2003
Very smooth, round aroma, a touch of chocolate, a touch of sugar, half a touch of hops. Drinkable, but nothing special.
