rarbring (2290) - Linköping, SWEDEN - DEC 5, 2012
Aroma: A sweet smell, mixed with raisins, bread and some yeast.
Appearance: Brown, dark orange liquid, much foam that settles quickly, no noticeable lacing.
Taste: Taste is dominated with sweet aromas, a hint of alkohol and rather flat.
Palate: Too low carbonation.
Overall: I’m surprised by the flatness and suspect that there might be some wrong with this batch (or bottle).
Note: bottle Reviewed 2009-12-17.

(Bottle, Stockholm Beer Festival, 4 Oct 2012) Reddish brown colour with frothy, beige head. Roasted, malty nose with crisp-bread, dried fruit and spicy hops. Malty, roasted taste with notes of raisins, dark bread, a touch of brown sugar and mild, spicy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Quite decent Christmas beer.

Sample at a tasting at Systembolaget in October 2012. Clear dark brown with a small head. Sweet with notes of bread, syrup and some light notes of cardboard. Thin mouthfeel, no spices. Not very exciting to be honest.
