50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden deep amber to hazzlenut brown with a small tan head. Fruity and mild wineous aroma. Wineous and fruity flavoured with a distinct roasted malty base flavour. Mild acidic flavoured from the roasted malt. Light bitter into the finish.

Ungstrup (37678) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JAN 8, 2006
A deep red beer with a disappearing light brown head. The aroma is sweet and dominated by caramel as well as some spices like nutmeg. The flavor is sweet and again dominated by caramel, but also with a light spicy touch, and a thin body. This could easily take more spices - would make it even better.

joergen (28177) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JAN 11, 2006
Bottle. Clear red coloured with a huge off white head. Aroma of malts, fruits and spices. Sweet flavour of malts, fruits and spices.

anders37 (26657) - Malmö, SWEDEN - DEC 30, 2006
Bottle. Pours a dark amber colour with a longlasting tan head. Sweet malty caramel aroma with some hoppy hints. Thin malty caramel flavor. Long malty finish with some caramel hints.

oh6gdx (26488) - Vasa, FINLAND - APR 14, 2006
Bottled. Very dark amber, small brown head. Aroma of caramel, fruits and malts. Flavour is fruits, spices and very weakly malts. Aftertaste of caramel. Quite good. Hoppy flavour also, which keeps the balance with sweet and "bitter". Very nice.

omhper (25160) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - DEC 24, 2002
Bottled. Mahogany colour with small creamy head. Light toffee aroma. Light bodied, medium sweet with clean, pleasant malt profile. A salty bitterness followed by a syrupy feeling in the finish. An at least decent well balanced and very traditional ’julöl’.

Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - APR 26, 2005
UPDATED: DEC 26, 2005 (Bottle 50 cl) Dark-brown with an orangey red glow, almost no head. Very classical for a Swedish Christmas beer with it’s caramel notes from the Münchener-malts. Nice hop-bite on the palate balanced by the malty sweetness. Quite well-made and harmonious beer. 290603

ChrisOs Christmas Tasting. Clear red brown beer. Big frothy tan head. Softish palate, dry. Low carbonation. Sweet malt but not much else going on here.

Rasmus40 (20924) - Beder, Aarhus, DENMARK - FEB 4, 2011
Clear dark amber with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty and caramel. Flavor is medium sweet and light bitter. Nothing christmassy over this average vienna. 251109
