UPDATED: NOV 21, 2012 500ml bottle (Stockholm) - shared by SaintMatty - thanks!
4 Very bland aroma, just the caramel and some paper
3 Clear deep re, brief head.
5 Very stodgy malts, seems almost underfermented.
2 Sugar-watery, and fairly fizzy. Finish more stodgy, and a bit buttery. Some very harsh industrial hop bitterness.
9 Fullish, but none of it particularly brilliant. Sweet caramelly nonsense.
Rerate 500ml botle (Tallink) (5:4:5:3:10=2.7)
Not sure where the previous hate came from, this is now a very scrummy caramelly dark lager. It’s brainstem-focused, no complexity, just a massive sweet caramelly fire blanket to extinguish any interest in hops. Finish is an enire load of bread - crammed into every corner of your gob. But it ain’t bad, it’s clean, it’s malty, it’s a bit predictable and maybe dull, but it ain’t bad.

Bottle. A clear one, next to brown in color and with a nice, dense, beige head. Dark liquid malt extract and some dried fruits in the aroma. Prunes and dates. Toffee and hints of molasses. Not particularly pleasant. The flavor too has toffee and malt extract, the dried fruits less obvious. Oxidation flavor too, quite bready. Dark bread that is. Medium body, quite dry, and with a pleasant carbonation level. Toffee, dark bread and malt extract in the end. Not my kind of Christmas beer, that’s for sure. 130119
