My first impression is Fruit. The initial sampling make me believe I'm trying an english bitter, and I like english bitter. But its flavor doesn't linger like the real stuff. Not bad anyway. Have one! blafa (511) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - APR 8, 2012

Caramel aromas, malt, sugar, some grains, pretty nutty and rich. Some dried fruit. Rich body, quite balanced and tasty, bready taste with burnt sugar and caramel. I actually didn’t find this to bad at all.
50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden deep amber with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted malty and light spiced. Toasted breadish malty and dense caramelish. Bitter and dark malty finish. Hildigöltur (5104) - København, DENMARK - JUN 20, 2006
Bottled. 6,0& ABV. Brownish amber coloured. Malty aroma with notes of caramel. Sweet and malty flavour with a dry and rather bitter finish. Well balanced. Papsoe (25060) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAR 30, 2012
Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a clear reddish brown with a beige head. Roasty nose, some pumpernickel. Medium body, sweet roast, nuts, burned caramel and pumpernickel. Hardly any hops. A decent if somewhat sweet Doppelbock. 300312

Mahogany colour, big creamy off-white head. Rich malty aroma. Notes of nut and chocolate,
with an obvious but ‘fitting’ abv.
Full-bodied with a rounded mouthfeel. Feels well balanced, but does not linger. Some bitterness. I'm amazed...

Before and after sampling everything in this beer was outstanding: stylish label with Easter cock, beautiful cherry colour (sending Cabernet & Co into second division), high rocky head of foam, rich fruity aroma. Lace was amazing: like a cobweb with similar sized cells. But the beer itself... I expected much more. The palate was flat and neutral (we are talking about 6% Easter beer!), clearly on the malt side but not really bock-like. A disappointment. MiP (15943) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - MAY 18, 2005
Bottle. Aroma has a hint of malt, wet rag... and metal? Clear dark copper colour, small head. Watery, but still malty flavour. Flavour of unmalted barley also. Dazz3 (1798) - Hallsberg, SWEDEN - MAR 28, 2012
Bottled. Pours clear brown with a huge brown head. Smells bread malty, abit spicy and alcohol. Tastes bread malty, abit sweet with a similar finish. ClubGonzo (5685) - Bergen, NORWAY - JUL 24, 2014
Bottle. Pours a deep amber-hued brown body with a medium creamy off-white head. Nose is caramel, raisins, wort and hints of bread and straw. Taste is wort, bread crusts, caramel and hints of brown sugar and raisins. Medium body and carbonation. Quite all right malt beverage in the Swedish "must" tradition (wort beer with added sweetness, brewed seasonally).
