12th July 2008. Pale lager with a cmooth creamy malt tone. Quite a dry finish. Respectable.

330ml can (Systembolaget, Stockholm)
Pale, fizzy. Oooh, it’s got the stong lager aroma, and not necessarily the good kind. Sickly sweetish maltiness with a hint of heavy metals that normally spell malt liquor. Fortunately it doesn’t have those in the taste as much as I feared. Perhaps a bit cheap and unsophisticated, but at least it has some flavour, and isn’t rank. Finish is heavy metals.

Thanks to Finn for sharing a 500ml can during a rating session at Elsas. One-finger, white head mostly diminishing over a clear golden body. Alcohol heating to the nose, some malty notes behind. Sharpness of honeyed sweet malts in flavour. More outward heating from the alcohol. Very sweet and very easy to forget (Skibotn, 29.08.2009).

Boks 0,5l fra Systembolaget i Kiruna. Lys gylden farge. Skummet forsvinner fort. Søt maltaroma. Smaken er søt malt, litt frukt og alkohol. Kjedelig.

Canned (thanks T.M.). Golden colour, small white head. Aroma has malts, some slight alcoholic notes as well as honey. Flavour is malts, some alcohol, mild hoppyness as well as some slight herbal notes. Interesting ESL, which atleast while cold is very balanced and not too alcoholic.

Bottle at home. Clear golden coloured with a small white head. Skunky aroma of malts, honey, alcohol and hops. Sweet flavour of malts, honey and alcohol with notes of hops. Burning alcoholic finish. Too much alcohol.

EHSRanders (2081) - Tjele, DENMARK - MAY 29, 2009
Bottle. Clear golden colour with large creamy white mostly diminishing head. Malty and hoppy aroma and flavor.

rauchbier (3924) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - MAY 24, 2009
Bottle, from Rhythm & Booze in Brigg. Gold, thin shortlived white head and low condition. Trace sweet malt in the nose, soft and sweet initially in the mouth but becoming fuller bodied with time and developing a chalky bitterness, slightly alcoholic in the finish with a slight lingering peppery spiciness.

HenrikSoegaard (14448) - Randers, DENMARK - MAY 2, 2009
Can courtesy Saxo bought in Sweden. Frothy white good mostly deminsihing head. Yellow colour. Light malty and hoppy aroma. Short light bitter flavor and finish. watery palate. Similar to the 5.3 version.

FrankJohansen (3622) - Sabro, DENMARK - MAY 1, 2009
Can. Clear pale yellow colour with a small white head. Malty and fruity aroma and taste. Weak hoppy finish. Boring.
