muzzlehatch (4950) - Beloit, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 7, 2008
Draught pint at the brewpub, June 2008. Opaque gold pour, very little head, a bit of sketchy lacing....buttery diacetyl unfortunately nearly overwhelms everything else in the nose at first, but with a few minutes some nice sour bready notes creep in...moderately bitter, mineralic, rather sour on the tongue as it warms, honestly it tastes a little off and possibly underfermented, bit worty....but drinkable, just.
A golden ale with a thin white head. A sweet honey and butter aroma. In mouth, a nice malt with light hops, meddium bodied. Not too bad. On tap at brewpub Oct. 10 2008.
