22oz bottle. Poured an amber color with a smaller sized off whitehead. Citrus, some bread, and toast. harrymel (1551) - Spokane, Washington, USA - NOV 18, 2013
Okay, I’m fine with admitting my personal bias on this. The label on this beer is poorly developed, that I can’t actually tell if this is the right beer. As a result, I’m gonna be a real stickler, the beer better be fucking phenomenal.
On the label: three skulls, one facing forward, two facing outward at 45 degree angles. Crossbones behind the forerunner, who also has the distinguished eyepatch over it’s left eye. Background is black. On the left hand of the label "Brewed and bottled by NWBC, Pacific, Washington"
That last quote is what confuses me. Is this a beer from a brewery in Pacific? Or a contract brew from Baron brewing? This was the closest I could figure on.
On to the review: Pours golden with a three finger loose, soapy foam with a quickly fleeting character leaving a broken surface sheet of the same. Smells of grain, some anise, some herbal and floral hops, fairly simple nose. Flavor is grain, touch of bitter, some honey a little tea - nothing special, and for an APA a real let down. Medium bodied with tight low carb and a wet finish. Really a moderate quality beer. Although I’m not put off by the general nature of the flavor of the beer, it certainly seems cheap, one dimensional and forgettable. robiannelli (591) - West Deptford, New Jersey, USA - APR 30, 2012
Bomber pours a bright gold with a frothy head. Aromas of pine some citrus bright notes of grapefruit and some toffee. Flavor was mildly bitter and body was medium light with a touch if water. Finishes clean Tonkun (1296) - New Jersey, USA - JAN 2, 2012

Bomber. Bland and thin. Hop and malt presence but nothing stands out. A bit of a metalic aftertaste.

Bottle: Whoa, that nose gets to me before I can even look at the beer. Reminds me of pond
water mixed with some skunk cabbage. Wow... thats pretty bad. Otherwise it smells very earthy and
morso very soily/muddy. Yeah, now I know. When I was a kid and I was going through the woods and I
would come across these isolate spots of water filled with mosquito larva, this water reminds me just of that.
It could be that its the water that sits on the inside of a tire. Do I dare drink this?
Amberish in color, mininal head, little to no lacing. Appears to be still. Very mealy on the tongue,
cardboard, wet paper... blech. Not much in the hop aspect. I was told this was a special bottling...
wondering if its a special bottling from two years ago. Oddly enough, finish is okay. Smells and
starts out fairly bad. I was told that the recipe might be tweaked when I bought this, so perhaps this is
just a dry run? Whatever it is, I wouldn’t call it a Pale Ale unless it resembled that long long ago.
This one needs a rerate, for sure. Tastes worse than homebrew. jtclockwork (16581) - , New Jersey, USA - MAY 5, 2010
Reddish amber pour. Floral citrus nose. Taste is roasted malt with slight bitterness. tambui (3) - Oregon, USA - APR 22, 2010 does not count
Aroma: caramel, citrus, basement aromas, banana
Appearance: golden, clear, minimal
Taste: medium sweet, light bitter, light sour
Palate: light body, thin texture, average. astringent finish
Overall: Pass. Also has a metallic aftertaste. dmac (6262) - Toms River, New Jersey, USA - APR 7, 2010
22 oz bomber from Spirits RB. Poured a good looking bright clear bodied orange with lots of effervescence rising from the center and an averaged sized bright white foamy head made up of large tightly packed bubbles. Aroma is malty and sweet with notes of vegetables, fruits, caramel and a hint of chocolate. The body is full of bubbly carbonation and although it is on the fuller side it lacks any real substance. Flavor is actually a touch weaker then the aroma with lots of dry grains and spoiled caramel. Drinkable......I suppose, memorable........not a chance. carruthm (1401) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAR 25, 2010
on tap at ballard loft yesterday during ESPN 710 hockey night. medium orange color with a spritely hop bite to it, it’s a well rounded pale ale that’s not watered down. Nothing extraordinary but a good session
