1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
Thin, almost not even yellow and medium bubbly. A very light, very pale, very tasteless pilsner. Would hold up well to maybe Bud Light. The only flavor I could discern was that of rancid orange juice or citrus which resulted in a very "furry" tounge. We agreed that Three Skulls Pilsner was not at all comparable to any premium lager, PBR is a better drink. Really awful!
Nose of green apple, hay, and corn, maybe grass. Pours light golden, lots of fizzy bubbles, a fizzy head as well. Flavor of green apple, corn, grass, and hay. Very carbonated. LIke a normal american macro. Pretty horrible stuff. bvc (1242) - Washington, USA - MAR 26, 2011
Draft at Pillagers...that is a review all in itself. Pours a light, bright yellow with visible carbonation and one finger even white head. Nose is full of abrasive corn, green apple, bailed hay, and grass clippings. Doesn’t smell anything like a pilsener. Good god!...did I order a malt liquor?...if I did, could I have a colt 45 instead please? Abrasive green apple infused flaked corn, fusel alcohol, lightly soured hay sprinkled with grass clippings tossed in an everclear vinegarette. God awful. presario (4916) - Stampede City, Alberta, CANADA - MAR 8, 2011
650ml YellowBeard Pilsner. Yellow beer with faint head but you can stir up a light foam. Agressive rough hop and stale orange juice scent. Same strong notes on the palate as the nose. Not enough malt to carry any flavour. Thin, sour and poor. bhensonb (15630) - Woodland, California, USA - JAN 16, 2011
Bomber as Yellow Beard Pilsner from Big Star in Seattle. Pours like perry, except there’s a bit of white foam. Light bready aroma. Flavor is light malt, and there’s not a lot of hop. Unless they add some saaz hop, I’d say this might be premium lager. Not gonna knock the socks off the Czechs!

On tap @ Pioneer Square Saloon. This was a pretty standard pilsener, it had a clear gold color with a little bit of head. The aroma was of wheat and grass. The taste was smooth but it had a little metallic twinge at the end. Middle of the road beer.
