Single Intent pays tribute to Belgiums Trappist breweries, which make a lighter-bodied blonde ale thats set apart for the monks personal consumption and not soldhence the term Patersbier, meaning fathers beer. With a spicy, herbal aroma from French Strisselspalt hops, this crisp and complex ale is too good to keep cloistered.

On tap at Taco Mac. Very excited for Belgian style brewery here in Atlanta. However, this one misses the mark for me. Realizing this is a start-up, Im going to continue to try their beers. Drink local!!

Pours clear golden with a slight eggshell head that settles to a thinner ring and leaves a few fine spots of lace. Nose is yeast-forward with notes of sourdough followed by sweet honey, peach, a whiff of leather, sulphur, and custard. Pretty sweet, sort of bitter, hinting at tart. Medium toward lighter bodied, flat carbonation, with a drying yeasty doughy finish. Not sure if its very low to no carb by design, or if it was just a bottling issue, but every bottle out of the 6-pack I got has been that way, and that certainly takes it down a few points for me. This is a great style that not enough American brewers are attempting, and it has a lot of great qualities. Maybe a bit too sweet as well, but otherwise a fair attempt and one I would check out again in the future.

Bottle in GA from my brother. Aroma is fruity and herbal, maybe a little earthy / flowery. Taste is a little subdued but fruity, yeasty and refreshing.

Pale gold, hazy, with a loose white head. Smells very yeasty, with some pineapple and banana, which is also how it tastes. Lots of subtle sweet yeasty flavors mixed with fresh bread and some grassy hops.

On tap, poured into a goblet. The aroma is a blend of grapes and peaches with a light, spicy oak - not too dissimilar to champagne - with some grains. An aroma of bubblegum overtakes the beer late. Th beer is slightly hazy with a straw-like hue and a white, filmy head that has moderate retention and ok lace. The taste is a medium sweet and medium light bitter with a touch of sour. The texture is on the thin side, with a slickness to it, as well as an active fizz for carbonation and a light body. The flavor profile is peaches and grapes with oak and a light citrus. The finish is zippy with a peppery and oak spiciness, a champagne funk and underripe peach. The aftertaste is light pepper and light, sour citrus.

Pours an orange-golden with a quickly vanishing thin head. The aromas are wild & yeasty, like a homemade wine. Slightly spicy blond flavor in a light body with very low bitterness, considering the 35 IBUs and a mere 5% ABV. Like all good beers, the flavors shine as the beer warms and so does the complexity. Good & subdued banana, citrus & clove comes through as well as some spice. Pretty good.

Draft at The Grey. Mostly clear golden color with a thick, frothy head. Lightly fruity and a bit yeasty. Has a fairly soft carbonation. Solid.

Pours a cloudy yellow from the bottle with thin wispy white head that leaves moderate lace. Aroma of Belgian spice and fruity esters. Taste is more towards a malty kick with subdued esters. Mild carbonation, soft mouth, decent but nothing exciting.

Bottle at home. Pretty quality Belgian. Has all the qualities the style should have- yeasty, spicy, citrus, banana, herbs. Pours a cloudy gold with a generous head. Nice citrus notes from the French hops. Feels pretty authentic. Nothing incredible but proudly Belgian in every way. Somewhat bready/ yeasty by the end. Everything it should be and not much more. Super solid.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. Aroma- I get some malt, yeast, hops and a hint of citrus. Appearance- This beer is a clear golden yellow with a small white head. Taste- Hops is the big flavor that I detect, it is really good. Palate- A light to medium bodied beer with real lively carbonation. I noticed that a previous reviewer noticed a peppery content. After reading it, I did realize that was what I was sensing. very cool Overall- A really good brew. This is my first beer from this brewer. It wont be my last.

Decent beer. It doesn't blow me away but I dig the company and that has a more to do with my alcoholic experience than anything else. Drink with people you work with but also enjoy chilling with. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
